"waterproof" trousers
I was going to splurge out and buy some nive Dainese ones to go with my jacket as the last few trips abroad we have met downpours. I was looking at Tonale / Tempest 2 / Tempest 3
Then I remembered the issues @formula400 had will leaking stuff.
So far I have survived and kept dry with my EBay goretex RAF trousers - which are lightweight, packable away, etc.
Is there a textile option that are better than these? - I tend to ride in leathers/ armoured jeans - hence overtousers work.

Re: "waterproof" trousers
Every pair I had failed after a while, all under I year (well under I think) that’s jacket and trousers.
What I do now is, I have some RST pro series adventure trousers, they are really good, and if it’s proper pissing down I’ll bang on a pair of those big Oxford water proof trousers over the top, no more issues.
Jacket wise similar, I have a Richa aqua guard over my summer jacket, and never really get wet underneath (unless it’s savage for the whole 16 miles home)
I’ll replace it soon with another Scott ergo Pro, I did have one before but saw the Richa had good reviews and was half the price. That I don’t think I ever had a problem, until the front zip broke, but that was after constant use and a long time
