I'd be a bit reluctant to splash sulphuric acid around any bike parts in situ. If the exhaust is removed,maybe....

Ive cleaned a couple in situ but it's a careful process with a bit of preparation covering the engine to prevent damage. Just some well placed polythene and a bit of tape does the job.

None were as bad as this system so this is a definite removal jobbie .

That Scorpion just looks like a system fitted to a bike used in all weathers and rarely washed. Headers take a pounding in winter, they are red hot and being sprayed with a freezing cold mix of water/salt and road shit.

I reckon one fitted to a sunny Sunday bike would look completely different and that's before you compare it to the amount of cleaning you give a bike.

2 for screen, 0 for no screen, that's a unanimous vote then, which is useful as the screen is quite effective too :D

I took the Dart screen off my Guzzi V7 because I thought it looked gay.

Rode it for 6 months and decided to try the screen again, I was surprised by how much difference it made to the comfort, still looks gay tho'.

MAybe i'm expecting too much from a system or maybe that was ridden in the salt flats, dunno... but i'd be VERY unhappy if i'd paid money out and ended up with it looking like this.
Just ended now at £220. I was half tempted coming into the last seconds, but i wasn't sure how well it would clean up, or not.... So i decided not to click it.

They still get wired back to the battery which I'm not keen on.
If you're worried about leaving them on, could you power them via a relay with that switched from a line which is worked by the ignition switch?

My bike to bike radio was (albeit low draw) taken off the rear brake light wire (so switched). A mate fitted a louder horn, the standard horn switched the relay, which powered the horn from the battery.
Even bland can be a type of character
