Hanging a paddock stand in a shed

Right, I’ve got an Oxford premium paddock stand.
It’s big and ugly, I’d like to either hang it in the wall or even better, in the inside of roof on the slant.

Any genius ideas how to achieve this???

Or another option, get a water proof cover and hang it in the rear of the shed that no one can see

If you don't use it,sell it. If you are keeping it,make very sure it's well secured if up above things. If anything can fall,it will and it'll land on expensive things like paintwork and totally spoil your day.

Standard operating procedure is to hang it near the door at a height where you bang your head on it every bastard time you walk in on a night.
Ideally if you want the extra points you use a fairly crappy hook so it then falls off and dings expensive stuff underneath it.

If you can lay a rake on the floor tines facing up as well thats all bases covered.

Funnily enough I actually did the rake trick last weekend..... (I have a rake lurking round the back of the shed for tidying the gravel occasionally, and yes I stepped on the pointy end and got whacked in the face.)



The OP loses points for not having one of the collapsible paddock stands.

I think I'm the only person who ever bought one.

Every so often Aldi/Lidl do a hook set which contains the kind of metallic items that might be suitable. The next time I'm in the shed with a camera I'll try to remember to take a photo of my (wall mounted) paddock stand collection.

If you are going to do it still go for the ceiling - I'd use three of the plastic/rubber coated self-tapping hooks that you get in the likes of B&Q etc. and twist one or more of them into place once the stand was up there so that it couldn't fall.



It still might, though... I used to keep BMX frames hung from the ceiling and one of them once sent me to A&E to have my scalp glued up.

I use one of these to hang a single sided rear paddock stand from the roof of my garage. Been there for many years and not fallen down yet

I just push mine under the side of a bike, pretty much out of the way and no worries about it falling.

I’ve only got a little shed. I get sick of moving stuff out of the way.

Not much love for hanging it up.

I think the best idea is maybe just leave it, burn it or hang it at the back outside, sod it falling on me or the boy.

I've got three sets of rails up in the garage that you can slot various hooks and things on to and move them around. One even has a hook for holding a bicycle. I hook my panniers and paddock stands on them, there's even a basket. You can just make out two of them in this pic.

I can't remember the brand and it looks like B&Q don't list them anymore. They're like these ones from Argos, but nicer.

Mine are under bikes, except when I'm out on a bike... in which case it sits on the floor awaiting my return.
