Is that all you got? Meaningless, unsubstantiated and unspecified rhetoric?

Give me an example so we can all see you're full of shit.
I gave you examples, WEF interference, replacement theory, phone election rigging, people being locked up for using hurty words, the Southport killer was an Islamic terrorist etc.
No you idiot, I don't need a list of things you don't understand, I need a specific example of something I have said which you think is incorrect or "conspiracy theory".

If the problem is conceiving a child with your cousin, why are they only talking about banning marrying your cousin?

I'm a low value individual? Perhaps I am. But you're not exactly showing yourself in a good light, are you?

For the benefit of others, how about you define your scale of individual value. In fact, it deserves its own thread.
Low value? Worked, paid your taxes, added to the population, First Responder helping keep us all safe and well, trained bike riders and probably kept a few of those from an early demise, a well developed sense of the value of data, data validation and analysis. (Been a slight cost to the health system but we'll call that a Return on Investment :D ).

It's an odd use of the term 'low value' Hoss.

Past tense? Hah! Full retirement lasted a couple of months, now working part-time. And some of that is to try and keep riders alive for longer.

Wow! Talking baboon! I'd love to see that, got a link?

And you have the gall to accuse me of putting up a straw man.

Perhaps, instead, you could address the two issues of Kamala's father being white, or evidence for 'multiple States' having voting machines fail?

No, insults and distractions are easier.

In the context of having any sort of sensible debate on here yes. You have no idea because it is not your opinions that are constantly attacked without bothering to say exactly what actual comment I have made is so contentious.

So for example in this little spat the poster is so keen to suggest I have been "caught out"; one is a comment taken from an entirely different conversation arguing about whether or not I made a statement or voiced an opinion. Totally irrelevant to the topic. The next one was a "fact check" on something I hadn't actually said.

Tell me where the value is in debating a serious topic with that sort of irrelevant nonsense....

I'm low value - you have comedy value :D.

I'll ask again, since you seem to be deliberately avoiding them: Kamala's white father, and 'multiple States'.

Contentious? The first seems completely untrue, the second unsupported. And, as I said, I followed your advice and went searching for info. I found just one reported incident.

Debate?

When did the statement and continued restatement of opinions and beliefs ever constitute 'debate'? The amount of debate in this section is asymptotically approaching zero. Anyone hoping for debate has long gone.

And there's an irony (or two. Actually, hang the expense - I'll have a dozen).

I'm one of the few actually putting forward an alternative rather than accepting the views put forward by the SSM (that's not Mainstream, that's Screwdriver Stream Media). Asking questions, supporting alternatives with evidence.

But the response is insults

Edit: durr ... I forgot the best: being asked for a link when I'd raised a post that made totally unsubstantiated, unsupported, claims :D

First of all, you are nothing to me. You do not have any authority to tell me what to do. Secondly, I guess we're moving on, shifting the goalposts to a new "revelation" regarding Kamala.

Much as I despise having to revisit my comments from the past since it is hardly "news" any more, I guess you'll keep throwing handfuls of shit until something sticks. Such obvious attempts at character assassination are nothing to do with the topic and everything to do with you wanting to find something, anything, that you can claim is a "gotcha".

Also, I am very much aware of the equally obvious danger of taking Kamala's heritage out of context as if I am some obsessed "racist". This is YOUR obsession, not mine. I am done with that campaign nonsense and such issues should have been discussed at the time.

Again, however distasteful I find it having any sort of conversation with you, I will have to respond - in my own time. I have better things to do.

I was rather sweeping with my 'anyone'. Hope still springs eternal among a few resilient lovers of those fading commodities of stuff like facts/data/supporting evidence/reputable sources/thoughtful analysis and, shock horror, those who are willing to adjust their view on a topic, if necessary, when presented with them.

Ah, debate. A fading art. :(

London now, will it spread?

https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/fury-diners- ... teakhouse/

Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse restaurant asks customers to pay an additional fixed fee "to cover the cost of table linen and napkins".

On the à la carte menu, it says the charge is £1.50 per person with other set menus being £1 per head.

As well as the cover charge, there is a discretionary service charge of 9.5 per cent.

If diners decide to keep the service charge, it will be staff who suffer financially.

NB. In court summing up a few years ago, Judge, Mr Justice Morgan said White was "plainly an unreliable witness."

He added: "Mr White was not straightforward and was not honest in his evidence and I would question his intelligence in bringing this claim at all."

He went on: " Mr White has been a bit of an idiot and it may be he has been a dishonest idiot on top."

I just had a look at their menu. MPW the gastronomic infant terrible appears to own an upmarket Berni Inn. :D

(I'm conflicted over this service charge business - you can withhold if the service is pants but that seems inadequate really. I expect we'll end up following the USA though where, as I understand it, staff will argue that 'tips' aren't big enough...I assume they don't have 'service charges' too.)

PS. Can you imagine any other type of shop where they add a service charge? On second thoughts, I'm not conflicted any more. Just pay people properly and scrap it.

Edit: PPS the extra charge for napkins and tablecloths is utter toss if you can't have the meal without them.

A few years ago I ate [for a project work hosted partners from across Europe] in a place carrying his branding. It was awful and embarrassing.

Foal works in the hostility business. He's actually at a good place, who look after staff. Still on minimum wage tho'. Edit @weeksy if you want a really good meal in Newbury, I'd recommend it.

Do they (front of house and kitchen) actually get the service charge and tips shared out properly?

The MPW thing is, on further reflection, even more ridiculous. You have no choice so why highlight that cost? It's a bit like saying there's a charge for cutlery...but there's no reduction if you bring your own.
