I remember going to the Gold Cup (or maybe he Cock o'North) some time in the mid 90's with my old man to watch Ian Lougher ride Oliver's Mount on an 'ultra rare' NSR500 V-Twin, first in the UK or something.

Bucket List Bikes for me
A proper racing RG500, a late stepped cylinder one, dunno why, but that's the 500GP bike I want to ride.
The race NR750 with pistons like tins of spam.
One of the works AMA Superbikes from 1981, Freddie Spencer's CB750, Wes Cooley's GS1000 or Eddie Lawson's Z1000, though I suspect they'd all be pretty horrible to ride.
Husky SMR630
I think I've owned or ridden pretty much every obtainable bike that I've seriously lusted after, but there haven't been a lot of these, 1983 350 YPVS, 1985 GSXR750, YZF750, 1998 R1 are the ones I wanted so much it almost hurt not to own them, and I've owned all of them.

Yeah, mad bike with 240+ genuine rwhp on BSD's dyno, would wheelie by twisting the throttle at 110-120 , loved that bike in some ways, but a chocolate teapot if ever there was one- I offered it to so many to have a go on, never understood why no-one ever took me up on it- seriously!

It's the Big Bang one that sounds mental, the older ones sound like any other IL4... fortunately for you, they do a premade fightered R1 with the Big Bang engine.

Reminds me of the Ace Cafe in the mid naughties, them and K6 Gixxer thous and the naughtier side of the LondonBikers forum especially Ghosty who'd be knee down in the car park before usually baiting the police into a chase every Friday night. Proper razz down to Frith Street in Soho mob handed, riding like you'd never get away with in London now. Good times

It's all to do with the order of the bangs and the spacing in between them. On an RC24 VFR750 the bangs numbered 1 2 3 4 come from cylinders 1 3 2 4 in that order. (#1 back left, #2 front left, #3 back R, #4 front R)
So the sequence is: #1 180' #3 270' #2 180' #4 90' #1 etc..
If you had a metronome set up to go tick tick tick tick ...... the bangs would be on ticks numbered 1 3 6 8 9 11 14 16 17 and so on (that is two full cycles, 1440 degrees crank rotation, four revolutions).
Alternatively this (bangs are 1, non-firing is 0) : 1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1-1-0-1-0-0-1-0-1
