It looks well done, but I prefer the original, the swing arm looks way OTT for the bike & I prefer the original blue or red & black paint schemes.

As above - looks okay but I prefer the original offering.
The original didn’t have that swing arm, did it?

I didn't think I'd like the seat, but then I'm easily suede.

Definite styling cues from the XSR GP, but it is lovely, really lovely. If it were mine it'd be all back and I believe the better for it.

Cheeky.
I like the TRX in general. The swinger jars a bit looks wise, but it's a decent effort. When a particular bike is right first time as stock,it's very easy to 'improve' it badly.

I like that a lot. 25 years ago me would be all over it like a rash; present day me worries about riding position and aches and pains...

That was enough for me to go and have a quick look at TRXs on Bike Trader

They're at the price now that people who want to sell them, don't want to spend money doing it. So they're all on FB Marketplace or Gumtree.

The two on ebay are up at £3.5 (and one of them's on Gumtree too ). I thought they'd be cheaper, honestly.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:49 pmThey're at the price now that people who want to sell them, don't want to spend money doing it. So they're all on FB Marketplace or Gumtree.

I loved my trx. One downside was the seat. It was only possible to ride for an hour if you had taken ibuprofen. By the looks of that seat, you’d have to double the dose.

The engines tend to burn oil but are usually pretty reliable I thought. My first one ran for 130k miles without needing anything doing to it before I killed it.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 6:13 pm
