There are still a lot of ICE scoots - L plated, of course - being used for deliveries in London. But the trend, as Bigyin says, is towards the souped up e-cycles, aka illegal mopeds. For the reasons he states, they will be a growing trend unless/until they are policed or regulated. One additional point is they can get away with using cycle lanes and cyclist-only rights like contraflow down certain one way streets.

Very much this, been done for multiple stuff on motorbikes in London that dodgy ebikes would have sailed through with no issues - despite being way more illegal 🤬
