It was pretty shocking that when HP sauce changed their recipe to follow Govt guidelines and it resulted in a c40 reduction in salt content! I must have tried just about every male of brown sauce available, but I always come back to HP. It may have less taste to its original recipe but I'm happy the salt content is lowered.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 11:54 amMeh, most brown sauce falls into the same "adulterated pish" category anyway. It's supposed to be tamarind date sauce, most of it is caramel vinegar sauce.

As I was getting another jar of mayo, some eastern euro people grabbed several jars of the stuff below. I was intrigued do I grabbed one too. Will have some for lunch tomorrow.

Baked beans in a jar disturbs me in a way I can't articulate.

That spicy ketchup is ace, I bet the jar of beans & sausage is too.
Made me think of Fabada Asturiana - the cheap kind, in tins. I've never seen it outside of Spain.

Just found these at the back of the cupboard. Looks like I may be developing a larder-of-plenty!
