Yesterday was the last day for any of my group to do retakes. So I stayed on after my retake on Monday and met with another student at the school to show some support for the last guy! (The other last one had yet another tantrum and left before Fabrice arrived!! After three months and loads of help he still got confused between 'urbain' and 'interurbain' types of routes  )

Anyway, Fabrice and I had planned to go for lunch at the restaurant behind the school and two of our instructors came along too -

Rubbish pic of Fabrice but I did make him take the photo as my right arm wouldn't work for it!! Great last day there and then Fabrice went to meet another ex student (who didn't have any retakes) on his bus route for the afternoon

Me, Juan, Christophe, Fabrice. Lunch full of mad laughs!! (And, I don't know how many times I've explained that the two fingers sign showing the back of the fingers is a rude sign in England!! LOL I think he does it deliberately now! At least Christophe learnt! )

Does Fabrice know what that hand signal can mean? :D

(See the 'sign of the horns' in Wikipedia :o )

I suspect his use is as in "rock n roll baby"!! But we're in France so it can't be for cuckoldery as they specifically miss out France from the list! (Also, not sure anyone at the table is married, maybe Christophe, but he did seriously chat up one of the other girls, so maybe not!! LOL ) And there is a VERY long list of definitions, so you might have to be more specific on the :o bit!

I found this short description -
The 🤘 is commonly used to mean “rock on.” It may be used when discussing concerts, music groups, or a general “rock and roll” approach to life. In some countries, however, like Spain, Greece, and Italy, the sign of the horns is a very vulgar gesture used to imply that someone's partner is unfaithful.
The REALLY long amount of info on wiki gives a lots of choice! LOL

It does! I was surprised as I only ever knew it as 'putting the horns' on someone. ie the sign of the cuckold. I don't even know where on earth I picked that up from.

Oh, and also as part of a questionable taste joke where the punchline is '4 pints please'. :D

I made them for my favourite five year old (now six).

"but they don't work!" he said...

So I'm like, "well you just said 'space goggles' you didn't specify any particular function" (yes, I really do talk to children like that) and "anyway, they work alright on the Moon".

He wanted them to be more like binoculars but before I could get onto it, he wanted dinosaurs...

He got this instead:

TBH, he got that as well...

A Trevor Horn tribute act awaits for the top pic. Very cool skull creation in the bottom pic. 8-)

That skull cost me more time effort and filament than I dare say. It is a full scale Gaboon viper (kid likes reptiles - especially dangerous ones). It delivers the largest volume of poison for any snake, those fangs tucked away in the model (which I plan to articulate) are the best part of three inches long! Almost the length of a finger.

There is a 3d scan scan available from some museum website or other but getting it to print quality was a nightmare. Then I really wanted bone coloured plastic. Went through a few reels before finding a good one. Guess it will come in handy for dino skulls though currently flavour of the month is Pokemon....

I've read many a fantastic theory about Shakespeare's works being written by another, but never Willy Wonka.

Dahl, Shakespeare or Wonka?

Not three names usually said in the same breath.

I hazard a guess Willy Wonka was quoting Shakespeare according to Ronald Dahl.... :banana-wrench:
