Nah, that's a minor turn pf phrase and a small paragraph. One of these days i'll write an essay like you do...

Well, maybe.

Don't think it needs to be an essay...

Constructive criticism I'd say.

I'd be happy to share some "constructive criticism" with you too but it's a one way street and I'd get banned.

It's now come out the Biden decided to pardon Hunter before he plead guilty to the gun & tax crimes. Not sure when that was, but it's been a few months & not "over the weekend" as WH spokesliar Karine Jean-Goebbels stated yesterday.

Interesting that you admit to being swayed by popular opinion, by sheer weight of numbers. So "go with the flow" would be your attitude. If enough people tell you you are "wrong" you must be wrong. Is that the correct interpretation of your position?

I do not subscribe to that. As a free thinking individual, I will make up my own mind. I will listen to any argument any number of people might make to me to try and persuade me one way or another but ultimately, it will be my decision.

If I was a "normal" 100 IQ type of person and those 5 are chosen at random then two will be above average, one will be at average and two will be below average intelligence. But those particular five happen to be a subset, self-selected from a larger group. They represent a specific set of individuals who disagree with me.

If they were able to demonstrate they were smarter than I was or better informed or merely open minded individuals, then I should listen to their opinions and give them my full consideration.

However... back in the real world:

I can't dig any deeper into that rabbit hole because whenever I engage with those five they never (ever) explain their position. They just say "you're a mule". That's all they can do. I ask, "why do you say that" and the reply is ALWAYS: ":I can't be bothered", "you wouldn't understand", "you're just looking for an argument", "you're a conspiracy theorist"...

No. I think I can safely ignore those people thank you.
I don't actually know you, no more than you know me. The point of my short post wasn't so much driven by you, your posts and passionately defended position, more that your posts generate an awful lot of unpleasant and often, personal attacks. It's got to a point where debate is virtually impossible.

You're obviously a clever, well informed man. Why do you persist in, what would appear to be, a need to have others take exception to your posts.

Contrary to your assessment of me, I'm known for having strong feelings and opinions and am not swayed by numbers or 'likes'. That said, I have also found that should my opinions cause upset to those I care for and or those I respect, my powder is kept dry and still tongue remains in my reasonably wise head. In the end what I think really doesn't matter to 99.99999r% of the world.

So, Screwdriver, please try to be cogniscent that it's sometimes the greater thing to do and walk away from an argument rather than continue to press ahead.

We are all equally entitled to an opinion and as a forum, no member should be hesitant to join any of the posts for fear of attack.

It's all good here mate, nothing in this forum is going to make my life any worse or my mood more foul.

I looked at the five mules epithet and immediately thought "statistics". Who are those five people, how are they chosen etc. Then, off we go. Obviously I understand the good natured ribbing and the mule jibe. Little sayings like that are often little nuggets of information. Many a true word spoken in jest and all that.

But they are often also a riddle or ambiguous, sometimes with a meaning quite the opposite to that intended. May you live in interesting times. No news is good news.

Anyhow. You do know me. You know I will go off on a tangent as I watch the stream of consciousness lay itself out before me, for all to see.

Isn't that what forums are for?

More accurate to suggest Biden meted out a full pardon for anything he got caught doing and anything he hasn't been caught doing (yet) shortly before Hunter publishes his "tell all" book.

Hadn't seen this video before, but as someone with prior experience of Peruvian marching powder I don't think there's any other possibility... His nose got the coke drips.

So while I agree with Snopes saying he wasn't doing coke on the balcony.. he sure as fuck had been doing it shortly before.

I have no idea about Hunter Biden and DGAF anyway, but a drippy nose can be a symptom of other stuff like chronic rhinitis. I suffer from a drippy nose and have never ever put coke up my nose. Or anywhere else.

Well you obviously haven't seen just what is on that laptop. Trust me, you don't want to. Incredibly there are multiple pictures and videos of Hunter using crack cocaine, prostitutes, young children.... Yeah. It's way worse than most people would imagine.

Seriously if it was anyone else, he'd have been locked up years ago just on the evidence presented on that laptop.

I think Trump is a bloody disgrace as POTUS.

Sadly I think Biden is also.

WTF is it with the Amercan system that offers such sad characters such power. A few more like these and your 'democracy' really will be FUBARed.

Agreed, but even by cesspit standards Trump and Biden are quite shitty.

Whereas I truly believe Trump is the best thing that has happened to humanity since technology accelerated and amplified capitalist power leading to the agonising inevitability of an Orwellian dystopia as imagined in "Nineteen Eighty Four".

He is so far as I can tell, along with his extraordinary team, the only possible cure for totalitarianism and globalism. At least a temporary bump in the road for the WEF/Davos plans for world domination anyway.

When people talk of "corrupt politicians" they typically mean those "in the pocket" of others with a vested interest. Those others are corporate elitists, globalists and oligarchs. Massive organisations like BlackRock, Vanguard and, well you know the rest. Don't kid yourself how many of our "chosen" leaders are there because of their WEF masters (and conversely, how many are NOT there).

Trump is a self made multi billionaire and yes, that probably means he is a right cunt and probably an asshole too. Same is almost certainly true of Musk. Then there are other examples from his team like Tulsi Gabbard who refused to accept literal bribes from so called "lobbyists". JD Vance who emerged from the most American place you can possibly imagine, a hillbilly out of the Appalachian mountains.

I could go on but the thrust of my argument is that I do not believe these people, that team, are in politics to make money. I genuinely believe they actually want to Make America Great Again, to coin a phrase. And if they make America great, the spin off is going to be a net positive for the rest of the planet...

It is an exciting moment in human history because on January 20th, we get to see behind the scenes and find out exactly what the rich and powerful have been getting up to. Not just the sordid sex scandals from Epstein/Diddy but also the catastrophically disastrous mishandling (or worse!) of manufactured bioweapons and the complicity of Big Pharma.

Whereas I think Trump became president so he could be the most winningest winner, the biggest winner who ever winned. I don't think he gives the tiniest shit about America or it's population.

I'd say he ran for President partly because he wanted to be Top Dog in the world's biggest economy, but also because it gives him nearly limitless opportunities for grift, embezzlement and general full-on feathering of his own nest. He also gets to shut down all the legal challenges to him and rub shoulders with fellow autocrats, all the while paying off old grudges and taking revenge on anyone who even looked at him funny.

Corruption will be just the start.

I half agree. Yes he has the chutzpah to want to be the best at everything and remembered as one of the very greatest. I believe that is an attribute you most often find in men (or women) with many children. Trump has five and Musk I believe is up to eleven(!). They have a vested interest in the future beyond their own lives.

I disagree that means he doesn't give a shit about <blah>. Quite the opposite, he really cares, lets say, he wants to fool everyone into thinking he's a great President by doing a great job! For me it's less about the motivation and more about the execution. If he really can drain the swamp without getting himself killed, the world will be a better place.

Like I said, I don't think it's about the money for the reasons stated and most definitely not at the level of corruption we are seeing right now with the multimillionaires club that DC has become.

Does anyone stop to think just how so many of these lifelong public servants on average salaries have become multi-millionaires, never having worked a day in their lives outside of their office?

Again I think there is an element of truth in what you say. Trump certainly, unquestionably wants to be Top Dog. No one is going to argue with that. Look at the way he treats world leaders and how they treat him. Yeah, he's a loose cannon but that is entirely in his favour in negotiations. If you are unpredictable, you cannot be played.

Grift and personal enrichment, I don't think so. There is no evidence for it and plenty of evidence against it. He has been president you know, and (I think this is true) he made less money in that period than usual. Biden on the other hand has only ever been a politician and on a meagre salary, bought an island next to Epsteins. His son Hunter, a drug addled hedonist sex maniac had made millions if not hundreds of millions just by being a Biden.

That's a big difference. While Musk might indeed make tens of billions of dollars out of being a Trump associate in office, he'll do that by building a city on Mars, a better EV, smarter AI, so-cheap-it-might-as-well-be-free satellite internet, and most importantly, a platform for free speech which won't get you thrown in jail for thought crimes.

As for retribution well... Where to start? Look what they did toi him - and his family! You know they de-banked his son and his wife? I mean there was just so much shit thrown at him, laws changed so they could try and jail him, an inside job FBI inspired "insurrection" and when all that failed, they tried to kill him.

The system is deeply corrupt so I don't see how it could get any worse. It's difficult to imagine worse examples of humanity than Biden or Pelosi. We already know Trump is not a war monger but he is so unpredictable, I think things are going to calm down rapidly if he can make it into office. Even if he has to break a few eggs....

Hegseth may be out as SecDef, DeSantis has hinted he's up for the potential vacancy. He would have been a better first choice.
