Wearing glasses in the rain whilst riding?!
I find I need my glasses at night whilst riding, but I got caught in the rain the other night and the bastard things kept fogging up and I had to pull over and take them off. Any tips my bespectacled internet friends?

Common theme here, don’t ride in the rain. Can you get specs with wipers on them? Or heated specs?

Keep them really clean, wash the frame as well as lenses.
Once washed, use single-use wipes.
Don't polish them with a hanky or other cloth, they pick up grease. Even the polishing cloth in the case will gradually get dirty.
For very short stops, keep your visor down and hold your breath

Helmet on before you leave the house and never fully open your visor so the bins get wet.
A Pinlock helps with fog on the visor - I hated riding home in the rain from work through London if it was at night -
I soon leaned to keep the visor as scratch free as possible

I could never understand people who stand in the cold and rain to put gear on.asmethurst99 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 2:30 pm Helmet on before you leave the house and never fully open your visor so the bins get wet.

A helmet with really good ventilation helps, I have a shoei GT-Air with a pinlock and unless I'm in town I keep the visor shut
If you're in stop start city centre traffic keep the visor half open so rain doesn't go down the back of the visor you prob won't get up enough speed to get rain on your specs

I use ZEISS AntiFOG Kit (Amazon ASIN B08PK4V67Y) works all day long if your specs are clean to start with and you don't get them wet.
These https://www.foggywipes.com/ work too for regular fogging, never got around to trying them i the rain.

Not sure why but that never bothers me and I wear specs all the time. Arai with a pinlock, never fully closed unless I’m right up to speed and it’s cold, ie it’s usually on the only just ajar setting. Try not to breathe if I’m stopped in traffic, but if necessary I’ll open it a bit more when stopped. As said, that can let rain down the inside which is a pain.

Never used them while biking, but did when wearing masks during COVID restrictions while on ambo jobs. They were ok, for a while.
