Friday thread, the sitting waiting with the banhammer one.
Well, not really. I'm busy this weekend.
Fri taking Mrs Weeksy to airport. Then home for pizza and MTB prep/sorting van.
Sat early start and off to FoD for race practice the go-karting, bbq and eventually home.
Sun race day so again early start and race support all day, first one back in a month for the boy.

Re: Friday thread, the sitting waiting with the banhammer one.
Unexpected day off as yesterday’s project work threw the software boys a very nasty curve ball so I’ve been stood down whilst they pick through the software rubble to see what went wrong and why. I’ll start on my tool box table as all the bits have arrived and may try mowing the lawn if it’s dried out sufficiently (probably not).
Sat and Sun, chilling out with Mrs M as I’ve either worked or been ill for the last three weekends or so.

It's pay day, so probably just some drugs and hookers.

I am currently basking in the sunshine looking out at a fab Sussex view, having just had breakfast in a rather stately home.
Next up a trip into Chichester, have a look at the Maggie Hambling show at the Pallant gallery. Spot of lunch, bit of shopping then back for dinner/supper whatever they call it these days. Couple more days of similar then home again, home again, jiggety-jig. Marv.

My poor wife has shingles and isn't feeling too good with it? So I guess i'll be doing everything such as collecting loads of parcels , shopping, cooking and cleaning etc.
Sunday is my Great Nieces 9th birthday and we're having a family do at my Step Dads. I'm a bit miffed at this as we always host these things but my nephew has arranged it there? Oh well, it means I haven't got to lob out the money for nibbles etc and no cleaning up, so i'll run with it!

I'm hoping to get in some celebrating!!
Just back from the valley with a proper mate from here and I got a text from another to say they are back in resort. Turns out a few others I've not seen this week are in the same cafe bar, so I'm just grabbing some toast and will head over for a sort of celebration of my pass!! Had planned ot do something tonight, but now is ok too!
Tomorrow - if my limbs have forgiven me for this morning's hike up hte mountain (only 2km distance and 200m altitude!) I might head back out, but it was VERY icy this morning, so maybe not!! LOL
Apparently we're all going 'out out' tomorrow night as one of the guys is on his own due to his wife being in the uk!
Sunday, Not sure - not too much as I start work on monday!!
There's always the possibility of a visit from a rather lovely instructor, so will just cross fingers for that!!

Mercifully little. Out round friends tonight.
AFAIK, not much Saturday, although I have been tripping over the three huge bags containing Christmas trees currently laying on the landing for a few days, which I think is a subtle hint...
I moan about putting them up (as I do about most things, to be fair), but when they're up, they look lovely. None of it any thanks to my artistic leanings, it must be said.
Sunday - IIIRC I think we're out for dinner at the Savoy. Just the two of us, which will be a very pleasant change. I'm using up holiday, so off Monday and Tuesday too.

Hope the Mrs feels better soon, shingles can be a bitch. Had my shingrix jab so hopefully i will avoid the experience.Taipan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 9:50 am My poor wife has shingles and isn't feeling too good with it? Re: Friday thread, the sitting waiting with the banhammer one.
Today: flew to Gibraltar, walked to Spain, walked back to Gibraltar, mooched around, e-scootered back to the border, walked to Spain.
(Hotel is just over the border in Spain, because I'm using points).
Tomorrow: back to Gibraltar, fight some monkeys, be tourists.
Sunday: more of that, fly home.
P.S. When planning a trip to Gibraltar, but staying in a hotel in Spain, remember to take travel adaptors with you. You aren't actually staying in Gibraltar, you fool.
P.P.S. If you do forget, the supermarket just inside the border helpfully sells adaptors (both directions )
