The S easily looks £7k betterer.
But only because the base model looks utter shit & probably why the marketing photos are so badly developed too.

Did you miss-read the article?

yes it's based on the R12 - but the non-cruiser version. I'd guessing here, but it sounds like it's the new R12 development of the engine, in (effectively) the Rnine-t chassis. (BMW's naming conventions are getting more confusing year on year). FWIW the R9-T was also a fairly low slung chassis anyway.
... It’s based on the R12 nineT roadster that arrived for 2024, rather than the laid back R12 cruiser, ...

Nice, but I'd prefer an original.

And still today it is just about the coolest ever looking beemer bike IMO, although the R69S runs it close
my big bro @2xtwins had an orange R90S back in the day (1970s I think! :shhh: )- those big Bings with accelerator pumps did it for me :D
Yeah, the 69S was reputed to have cost BMW more money to make than the sale price.

Nerd alert. The 90S used Dellorto carbs. :D
NERD alert!!!!!
That bike was sold by Williams Motorcycles of Portland St, Cheltenham

Cool.

I bought it in the late 80s from a fella in Warrenpoint, rode it for years, then sold it to a guy up Londonderry direction. It was bought bought by a bloke just around the corner from me,where it still remains.

I ask the present owner now and again if he's thinking of selling, but he said it would be the last of his bikes to go! He's a man who knows the value of a pound too,so there'd be no bargains from him.
