Working as I do for a German company, these often appear in the office in home made form around December.

We're doing Christmas with the family in Denmark this year. So it'll be their massive farm kitchen, Frikadeller, Pork, parsley sauce and much Jaegermeister.

Plus they'll finally show me how to make Kransekage well.

When we go out we'll often look at the veggie menu, not cos I am one obvs, but quite often there seems more effort put into making veggies interesting than meat based stuff?

I think they have to 'add value' in the prep to keep the prices comparable with the meat things otherwise people jib at paying for things that are, in theory, made with cheap ingredients. + I read that people will opt for cheaper (smaller margin) things on the menu if the price differential is obvious.

If things look interesting enough I'll go for a veggie option as the mood takes me.

Me either , we've had 2 massive ones from Italy delivered today (freebies from a well know coffee company) along with various other European treats and coffee, still I suppose it saves me thinking about what to buy 2 folk for Christmas.
