Quite nice that.

Not terrible.
I'd prefer a can either side than the gash twin tube up the left.

I like that! Must be getting old.
Shame it's as near as matters twenty grand, though.

Re: New BMW R90S
Interesting they've [accidentally or deliberately] replicated the fork brace that often used to be fitted.
.
On my R-RT the drilled discs would 'whirr' as the forks twisted in corners ...

Re: New BMW R90S
I had the other colour back in the day. Probably the last beemer with really good build quality.

Re: New BMW R90S
The council spec R12 is £12k...
https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/model ... e/r12.html
The S easily looks £7k betterer.
It's £3k just to add nicer paint and spoked wheels to the base model R12.

Re: New BMW R90S
And still today it is just about the coolest ever looking beemer bike IMO, although the R69S runs it close
my big bro @2xtwins had an orange R90S back in the day (1970s I think! )- those big Bings with accelerator pumps did it for me

Re: New BMW R90S
Yeah, the 69S was reputed to have cost BMW more money to make than the sale price.
Nerd alert. The 90S used Dellorto carbs.

Re: New BMW R90S
There's two R90S on t'bay...
74 with 11k for £9k and a 76 with 24k for £8k
Both black, not the iconic orange/silver.
You could buy both for the price of a new one
Of course neither will have Rock and Roll mode.

Re: New BMW R90S
My mate's R60 is smaller than his Enfield. So perhaps they're being true to the original?

That's what I was going to say! Dead wee and nesh!
I do like to original 1970s bike though, that is sweet.

Re: New BMW R90S
It looks low because the R12 it's based on is sold as a cruiser, but they can't give it feet forward controls cos the cylinders get in the way.
