The UNUSUAL thing about this advert is that the message is, there is no message. It is a regular family. A man and a woman with children. There is no unusual skew in the presentation of what 99% of the world used to think was "normal".

FFS and I'm only posting this in a hurry because the term "racist" is so abused it has become meaningless. ie. when people insist everything is racist, nothing is. That and the fact that I'm probably gonna get kicked out again for daring to suggest a man has a penis.

It is a beautiful story, beautifully told and because it is unencumbered by political messaging, a breath of fresh air.

Another thoughtful and well made ad is the volvo one. It’s a car advert and actually features a car and is made by by Oscar-winning cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema and doesn’t look like it’s made with MS Paint, so we may not be allowed to like it.

We will have to agree to disagree. It is most certainly unusual to be so ordinary in portraying a nuclear family as if that was somehow to be applauded.

Especially for a company like Apple. It is unusual and we will start to see more like it too now that Trump is destined for office.
