And the winner of the BBC's woman player of the year is...
...A man!
Barbra Banda has failed sex eligibility rules in The Africa Cup of Nations and for her transfer to Real Madrid. Is this yet more provocative wokeism from the BBC?

Really ought to be a simple case of DNA testing for these "outliers". That's a yes/no answer right there...

Sex verification can be substantially more complicated than checking whether a person's sex chromosome pair[a] is XX vs. XY, or comparing their levels of key sex hormones to distinct reference ranges, to determine an athlete's sex. This is due to variations in human biology where some people are not unambiguously female or male, not all cells in a person's body have the same genotype or the presence of other atypical genetic condition. These reasons, among others, led sporting bodies to abandon chromosome testing towards the end of the 20th century and use hormone testing instead. The downside of hormone testing, however, is that policies on hyperandrogenism (women with naturally higher testosterone) were required, which have sparked both public debate and legal battles.

Re: In todays news...
That petition has a long way to go to catch this up...
No doubt you guys will be all for it as it's been signed by over six million people.
"Revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU was a petition submitted to the UK Parliament petitions website calling on the UK government to revoke article 50 of the Treaty on European Union, and remain a member state of the European Union. Following the referendum of 23 June 2016, in which the electorate of the United Kingdom voted by 17,410,742 to 16,141,241 to leave the European Union, the United Kingdom invocation of Article 50 occurred on 29 March 2017. This set a deadline for leaving the EU of 29 March 2019 which was later extended to 31 October 2019.[1]
By 24 March 2019, the petition had received 5 million signatures, and is the most-signed online petition to the UK parliament on record;[2] it reached 6 million on 31 March, and closed on 20 August with a total of 6,103,056 signatures, the highest figure obtained for any British petition since the Chartists' petition of 1848.[3]"

1848 Chartist Petition
This is the last Chartist petition presented to Parliament. A new Chartist determination, led by Feargus O'Connor, collected over 5 million signatures on behalf of the Chartist movement. The Chartists and the petition represented a desire to see that all adult men, regardless of social position be given the right to vote. It also campaigned for annual elections to Parliament, equal numbers of voters in each constituency, pay for MPs, and vote by Secret Ballot. Unfortunately, Parliament would later vote against the petition by 222 votes to 17.

OTOH the Met could show data that a young black bloke in a flash car, late at night was a much more likely than say a middle aged white guy to be a drug dealer, and a lot more likely to be armed with a knife or a gun.
Not sure how you solve that conundrum, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The vast majority of people are either XX or XY. That means only the tiny minority, about 1% or 2%, need special consideration. These anomalies have been studied enough so it should be known whether the particular anomaly gives an unfair advantage over XX and that person should compete in the open category. It would do away with the nonsense of somebody such as William (AKA Lia) Thomas stealing race wins from real women.Horse wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 1:30 pmWikipedia says:Screwdriver wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 1:15 pm Really ought to be a simple case of DNA testing for these "outliers". Re: In todays news...
Exactly correct. Wikipedia has been taken over by left loonies, it literally got bought out and taken over. All you have to do is test the current edited rubbish against historical data. An easy way to do that for example is the Oxford English Dictionary. There are any number of "words" whose meanings have been edited to suit the narrative.Saga Lout wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 3:33 pm The vast majority of people are either XX or XY. ...and yes "conclusive" because if it is anything other than XX, that bloke should not be in womens sports.
