Came here to say that. Mine is a keis.Rockburner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:27 am
I'll repeat what's been said many times before: keep your core warm and the extremities will not lose their supply of warm blood.
A good heated waistcoat will keep your hands nice and warm and your brain functioning (as much as it can for any biker).

For a given level of "function".Noggin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 12:15 pmWe have functioning brains?? Damn!!wheelnut wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 12:07 pmCame here to say that. Mine is a keis.Rockburner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2024 8:27 am

The functioning of our brains is a function of how warm we are.

Re: Recommendations for winter riding gear.
I've been contemplating a Keis heated vest for a while now (for Spring riding, I'm not a masochist).
This thread reminded me to check if there were any Black Friday deals on them, and Infinity have come up trumps with a proper bargain price
Now to hope they run a bit big, as medium was in stock and large wasn't, and it's always pot luck which of the two I am(and I think I got the last one that wasn't a size 6 )

Re: Recommendations for winter riding gear.
I’ve just had some Keis 701 short gloves delivered from sports bike shop, when the weather changed this week I did one day in my normal sports gloves and cried I ordered the heated gloves to connected to my gilet,
Same day I fitted the bar muffs and dug out my alpinestars winter gloves, coming home at night it was 0 and hands were ok… ish. Having a debate with my self if I really need the £195 out lay.
They do feel nice though

Re: Recommendations for winter riding gear.
A friend has a heated 'gilet' which he loves (mind you, I think he has a fair bit of metal in his back, so probably more in need than most, I should probably stop teasing him about being feak and weeble!!).
I'll try and get the brand as I don't think it's biker branded, so will probably be a bit cheaper than the others!!
I'm tempted for skiing. Not for actually skiing but the waiting in lift queues and sitting on the chairs. Although the last season I did actually get cold skiing - apparently that means I'm skiing better and creating less energy! Excellent in some ways, downside meant I was getting cold

Re: Recommendations for winter riding gear.
I suspect that's similar to the one a mate has. It's not branded but works just fine! Haven't asked him the price tho!!
