Actually he can't read the prompter, & he doesn't use big words because he can't pronounce them, but it's hilarious when he tries :)

Wondering just how many times Joe Biden lied about not pardoning his crackhead son... certainly in the dozens. Don't think Trump said he wouldn't pardon people & then did just that, he just went ahead with pardons, no need to lie for years about it.

Set's a nice precedent though... especially given Biden's reason for doing so. Don Jr got over 110 subpoenas from Biden's Lawfare Dept

What's the logic behind Presidential pardons anyway? Why should anybody be able to overturn due legal process? Why is that privilege still available in 2024?

Like all politicians, shameless abuse of power is seen as a perk of the job. They don't give a fuck what the little people think.

I wonder what else he lied about.

Or maybe: I wonder if there was anything he didn't lie about. :hmmm:

It would appear to be an astonishing decision - of all the people who don't deserve pardoning, Hunter probably comes top

Unintended consequences:
The pardon covers ALL crimes by Hunter going back to when Biden was VP, even ones that haven't been discovered yet... it also prevents Hunter pleading the 5th. There's a good chance this is going to blow up in Bidens face.

Yup! Sleepy Joe has chosen family and destroyed any sort of respectable legacy he may have left. I find it incredible that Presidents can play this get out of jail free card, but American politics is a total cesspit.

It is normally used for a specific crime which may have been contentious and the ability to pardon is used to right wrongs.

In this case, Biden has pardoned his son for all crimes he committed, including those he has already pled guilty to. He didn't have much choice regarding the plea, the evidence was overwhelming. There are also literally hundreds of self reported criminal activities on the laptop he left behind at a repair store. Many of those crimes involve hauling sacks of cash from Ukraine, CCP, Russia for which even the IRS had to point out were "questionable".

But that was years ago and it beggars belief that Hunter was never actually prosecuted for those crimes he did admit to. Reason being, much of those "questionable" payments were shared out among the Biden mafia as if no one would notice all those hundreds of millions simply turning up in their shared accounts.

What the pardon does as has been observed is to not only wipe the slate clean for all those nefarious activities all the way back to 2014 (coincidentally a few months before Hunter was installed in Burisma on a gigantic "salary") but it virtually pardons the Big Guy himself, the head of the mafia group: Joe Biden. However, as has been observed, having been pardoned, if Hunter is called as a witness to that criminal activity, he cannot claim that to testify would tend to incriminate himself because he is untouchable (5th amendment).

If he chooses not to bear witness then he may end up being prosecuted for contempt of court. On the other hand if he does testify and lies in court, then he opens himself up to charges of perjury. No doubt he will simply claim "not to recall" anything....

Wonder if JB might go so far as to pardon all the other members of his family who have been involved in this massive money making scam, remembering of course that all of this criminal activity which has been going on for decades, is exactly the stuff that half this forum think was a "conspiracy theory".

Will you fuck off with the "I was right and you were all wrong" it's fucking boring. Even if there are things you're proven right (I don't now if that's the case here )about it doesn't mean you have to sit there like a pompous wanker telling everyone. It just makes you look like a smarmy twat.
