And it turns out many of the signatures on the petition were fake!

Yes. He's lost my respect too.

He should have said -

'A petition, you say?'
'Less popular than Farago?'
'On Twitter?'

Then dropped his pants and waggled his arse* at the camera.

I think there've been prior petitions with way more sigs (regarding Brexit) that have been rejected. (and ISTR similar claims at the time that some of the sigs. were hooky)
On that basis, Starmer must be hugely popular and should be PM for life!

At what point did the British public become so retarded as to fervently sign and pass on a petition that has the potential to change absolutely fuck all?

It’s not just the British, apparently it’s being signed from much farther afield. Just need a 150 million Trump supporters to help out now! :D

I don’t think anyone really thinks they’ll get another general election out of it but it’s a terribly British way to protest, sort of

How many signatures now?

According to the BBC:

In 2019, a petition calling for Brexit to be cancelled received 6.1 million signatures. Four years later a call for a second Brexit referendum garnered 4.2 million names.

About 8% of the population support the recent riots. Probably racist idiots.
That's about 5 million

I recently joined a racist FB group and it was sickening.
The hatred for blacks was equalled by the hatred of the current Govt.

I imagine many of those who are signing this petition are from this 8%.

8% figure is from Gov website

More likely pensioners, farmers, employers and benefit claimants.
