Everything apart from the tyres...but I'm really not sure what it's supposed to be. It looks quick but isn't, it probably corners like a whale etc. So nice work but - show pony?

It'll be worse when it's finished. At least cover the battery terminals.

According to the article they've ridden it - and, unsurprisingly, thrown it down the track, damaging it 21 days before it was shipped to sit on a pedestal at an Italian custom bike show. I guess the story says it all.

Looks like a RE pretending to be a Hayabusa, and failing badly. Why would you butcher a perfectly reasonable 'cooking' bike and turn it into something that fails.

If you want tyres with Goodyear written on them then buy some instead of Avons.

Nice!

Isn't that tank like one which people in the 90s claimed would rip of your bollocks in an accident? Except no-one ever had their bollocks ripped off by a petrol tank. Ditto a rucksack tearing your arm off.

It reminds me mostly of a mandrill monkey; the ones with blue and red arse and face.

That's not necessarily a good thing, by the way.

The tank rack had a worse reputation. Although whether urban myth, I don't know.

I heard an ex traffic cop explaining how he stopped riding police bikes after being in a T-bone crash and sliding up the tank. Into the radio box.

Anecdote and possible myth aside, sliding into a humped tank can cause an 'open book' fracture of the pelvis. It can easily be fatal as broken bone can pierce major blood vessels.

Someone I worked with related the tale of running into the back of a car whilst he had a tank rack on the bike, he stated most of him went over the rack and the "important bits" went under the rack. He then spent a few days in hospital with testicles the size of oranges......
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

The copper was Ted Clements, IAM Chief Examiner at the time I heard him tell the story.

In A&E they wanted a urine sample to check for blood.

Took him 20 minutes. But his hands were shaking so much he dropped the jar and it smashed.

That ^^ tank rack is like the one I had on my 'new' Bonnie, fixed with 4 suction cups. The original ones were screwed into bosses welded or brazed to the tank.

They can keep the headlight, I've got the fancy US market twin headlights in my FZ
