They're 0.8 of a mile as the crow flies from my house
I think they lost the MG franchise when they moved, so they're just selling off old stock.

Ah. That would explain it. I may need to investigate.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 9:02 pm They're 0.8 of a mile as the crow flies from my house

I think they lost all the Piaggio brands when they moved.
They're now too close to the well established Piaggio brand dealership 'Ron Daley' to share the territory, despite Ron Daley only selling the scooters.

It's very popular with the Scooter fraternity, I can see why Piaggio would prefer to keep them over Via Moto...

Yes, I can see that. Looks like Via Moto were a bit hasty relocating, in that case. There's a scooter emporium less than a mile away from me - Armando's Scooters just off Bramall Lane - and they're another company that have a loyal following dating back to the '50s. I use them as my MoT station of choice. They have zero interest in trying to generate work off the back of an MoT failure, so I get a fair result every time.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 9:32 pm It's very popular with the Scooter fraternity, I can see why Piaggio would prefer to keep them over Via Moto...

I get all my MOT's done at Needhams in Doncaster. No booking, just turn up and wait your turn. I also know Alan would tell the Five-O I had prebooked if ever caught out.

As has been answered below, or above?, It's a v100 mandello and it's a great bike to own and ride.Count Steer wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 8:38 pm Is that the Stelvio? Looks v nice in the sun. Can't remember if you did a review/comments on it. Pleased with it?
I was saying to the boss / mrs only today, that I've done twice the usual amount of riding this year.
This bike gets more interest by bikers and non bikers alike than any prior bike I've owned and I've owned a lot!
Handles really well, goes more than fast enough and sounds lovely.
I did consider the S version but it would not be that much better, if at all than the standard model. I've got the suspension set just how I like it and don't need the electronic version to achieve this. As expected, the red one is the fastest of course

I had a good look over one last year in On Yer Bike. IIRC it was a lot smaller than I was expecting (as in stature wise).
I really should go get some test rides next year.

That's where I got this bike from. Ian, the service manager, is a really decent guy to deal with. Super helpful.
It's deceiving in terms of size due to the engine layout. Pretty heavy but something you don't notice, especially on the move. Well built with good quality components.

Managed to get out on the 650X for a spin earlier, the gritters don't seem to have been out yet,but the farmer's are busy
I might be looking for a more aggresive tread pattern for the next set of tyres...
Somehow, despite not having fancy electronics only ABS I managed to stay upright

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Despite the gritters doing their first run round here yesterday the Ducati was out today for the MOT as I didn’t have access to the work van to take it in. Cold ride but kit did its job as well as the heated grips. Rode home looking at the dark clouds coming my way and pulled onto drive as the first tiny flakes started to fall
