Hope no-one has been buying classics as an investment
H J Pugh auctions last week, quite a few vendors took a pill.
I know the retail side of things is a bit (lot) slow, now the malaise has transferred to the grippers too.
Fully restored triumph metisse for £7k

Looking on tbe brght side, I reckon they'll be a few OK condition but cheaper bodyshells for classic cars that people could fit lecky kits to.
Many classic cars are a bit wank anyway and the kind of thing that beetles down the A66 at 60 sounding like its in reverse as I pass it in my 19 year old workvan.
Personally I like the idea of lecky cars but not keen on the amount of computerised fucking tat they fire on em. Lessening that (bearing in mind that some computerised controls will still be required before Dazzle gets ideas about correcting me) seems like a good idea to me.
If I ended up with something a bit retro looking at the end then a the better.

"Sunday driver" cars, where you're not going very far, that look the part and are maintenance free seems an ideal base for the weekend toy in electric.

Place next to us does electric conversions...nothing to do with us, just a total fluke.
The strangest/most unexpected thing I've seen leaving their place is a Sierra Cosworth. It makes sense as a Sunday toy thing, less sense if you're into the garaging side of it, although some people do home Brew EVs now TBF.
Personally I'd love an Electric DeLorean, they probably make more sense than an original DeLorean.
I don't think computerised tat is an EV thing by the way, its just a new car thing.

A neighbour has a Mk1 Escort, but already restored. Hardly ever sees daylight.
Probably one of those things that seems like a good idea but, for many people, is more in the mind than actually happens.
Even bland can be a type of character

In related news... I paid $25k for the F350 in march, already turned down $40K a few months ago & turned down $45k today.
That seems a reasonable ROI... Except it wasn't bought as an investment, It's just big silly truck that I wanted.
