Re: Magnum Force: Harris GSX1100 Katana “Goldie”
That's some paintjob and it's impossible to see past it to look at the bike itself. Like most,I daresay, the second pic is how I'd prefer it to look, rather than an acid flashback.
Back in the day a mate bought a new Suzook Katana, then sold all the rolling chassis parts to bung the lump into a Harris Magnum. That was one bike which redefined the notion of uncomfortable.
Pretty though and very good at going fast. At the time.

Snot to my taste, the other black and white version looked more like it to me.

I understood that the Harris frame greatly improved the handling of early Suzooks, but could never get past the looks. This takes that 'not get' to completely new levels of 'why don't you just fuck off', though.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

In my youth I loved Harris, Moto Martin and locally Spondons despite their challenging looks and riding positions. In fact I embrace challenging looks generally but that is too much for me

I think that's the first time I've seen a Harris Magnum & thought it looked ugly

Ridden both, it isn't a huge improvement over the big Suzuki, it is a big improvement over a Z900 or MK1 or Mk2 Z1000, the Z1000J is nearly as good as the Suzukimangocrazy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 12:14 pm I understood that the Harris frame greatly improved the handling of early Suzooks, but could never get past the looks. I think they gave it a dreadful paint job so that none of you would notice the really awful seat.

Is that to confuse the speed cameras?
