What would the masses on RTTL would have done and why.... given the circumstance and the info the guys on the ground were given

Don't know, didn't watch.
I have however used an old police training device. Laser pistol, video screen, shoot when justified but beware of innocents. I am bloody glad I never had to make that split-second decision IRL.
