Or, in simple terms, "Don't feed the troll".
Screwdriver and others are entitled to hold their opinion. However when they ascribe chaotic fuck-ups to complex conspiracies arguing just drives then deeper into their imaginary world.
A while back Screwd said much of his stuff was tongue in cheek that was deliberately contraversial. I believe him, but he also has his demons. Long sustained arguments about conspiracies just drive him back into the arms of those demons, and I would hate to lose him.

Re: Is Russia just about to invade Ukraine?
Ah, right the old "I can't be arsed" excuse.
Basically you are saying you can't justify your assertion that "you think global events and manoeuvring are preplanned down to the last detail". In fact you can't name one single thing to justify such mindless rhetoric. So instead you pick some other straw man to pull apart to conflate say, my opinion that they will attempt to assassinate Trump with an argument about proving a flat earther wrong.
Well that's just great. Too much of a coward to speak your own mind, just vilify someone else's opinion and use an entirely irrelevant story to self aggrandise. Bravo.
Here's the problem though. You're not wrong.
Over the past few years I have noticed a very disturbing trend with extreme polarisation. We've all seen it I am sure. In fact you are accusing me of that right now. You think I am stuck in some shadow world where everything is a conspiracy because the only places such information may exist inevitably also carries such nonsense.
But that is not the most serious issue. The more serious problem is mass psychosis. We see that in the "never Trumper" universe. There are some quite radically mentally unstable individuals "out there". Their hatred is so deep and so insane it is hard to believe there was ever a rational person in there. So now there are reports of suicides, killings, divorces etc. all because the lunatic left can't live with a Trump victory.
Why is that? I suggest the main issue is this is not merely propagandist drivel the MSM are pumping out non stop. It is deeply psychological indoctrination. The human mind is weak. How long do you have to bombard and entire population with "he's Hitler", "rapist", "criminal" before the mind gives up any need for evidence and meekly accepts it must be true because "everybody is saying it".
While I do not disagree with your sentiment that there is an entire industry attempting to control large swathes of the population by devious tactics of repetitive mantra like indoctrination, I do disagree with which side of the fence you put me on. You see while I am wandering around picking up snippets of info from such a vast range of sources, there is no single, unified, coordinated brainwashing. Quite the opposite. It's like Bedlam.
In your safe space however, the message is coordinated. Coordinated and repetitive and like advertising which we all feel immune from, they wouldn't do it if it didn't work. Have you never noticed how the MSM will suddenly ALL be using the exact same phrase and the exact same key wording? Why do you suppose they do that?
Sorry to break it to you but you are not the free thinking, open minded champion for the truth you think you are. If anyone here could be compared with a flat earth evangelist, it is you.

Once again, an actual example rather than empty rhetoric would be most useful. What conspiracy? That they might try and shoot Trump? That Biden is an empty minded puppet? That Russia might invade Ukraine?
You guys keep waffling on about "conspiracy theory" and yet when challenged you have no evidence and can give no examples to back up such outrageous claims. It is becoming quite tedious.

These comments and counter comments remind me so much of the Foundation series of books. The premise being that it's possible to manipulate and steer the masses. Trump is like the Mule character. A disrupter whom nobody knows how to handle or predict.

I would say the Mule represents the deep state. An entity which takes control of a failing empire using mind control to sway the masses.
Who really believes George Floyd was a saint or that men should be allowed to hang around in womens bathrooms? Such lunacy is a direct result of US propagandist nonsense. Nobody really thinks men can "become" a woman just because they say so.

COVID vaccine. A litmus test of your gullibility when it comes to separating fact from plausible misinformation. Just saying.Screwdriver wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 10:17 am

Re: Is Russia just about to invade Ukraine?
The deep state shooting Trump is a conspiracy theory.
Anyone could have predicted someone would try and shoot Trump. In fact, they DID predict it, which is why he has so much security
The fact someone tried it and nearly succeeded doesn't prove anything about deep states or anything else of that nature. Lots of American political figures have been shot.
Just one example. You attach loads of pure conjecture and overly complex explanations to things.

Politics is deeply divisive, particularly in the USA.
The USA is awash with guns.
Probability that someone will shoot at a Presidential candidate? Probably not far short of 1.

Anyone could but only I did (twice)? That does not make a conspiracy. His security was in fact reduced despite many calls for it to be increased. Michelle Obama literally had a larger security detail follow her to a restaurant.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 7:27 pm The deep state shooting Trump is a conspiracy theory.

Glad you picked that one though because there was so much wrong with that incident, it's difficult for any rational person not to suspect CIA/FBI involvement.
Since this is nothing to do with the topic of the thread, I respectfully ask you to take this question elsewhere and I will answer it fully.
Where of course it can be safely locked/deleted....

Yeah yeah. Wise after the event. Try suggesting it PRIOR to the event and get labelled a conspiracy theorist. See how you like it.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 8:35 pm Politics is deeply divisive, particularly in the USA.

Re: Is Russia just about to invade Ukraine?
I was replying to this:
Now I happen to respect @Mr. Dazzle on any number of issues, largely technical or science based. But to suggest this lone gunman was allowed to set up an ideal shooting position with all of the so called security around Trump without the knowledge of the CIA/FBI or some other deep state agency is fantastically naive.
It was an inside job no doubt about it. You simply would not believe the sheer volume of suspicious and inexplicable events both prior to and following the shooting. Like I said in some other thread, if Trump can survive the next two months (personally I wouldn't bet on it) then we may yet get to find the truth.
I think Trump may have bitten off more than he can chew. He is threatening to "reveal all" and the depth of corruption he will be able to expose will have a huge number of the richest, most powerful, most corrupt and frankly most evil people on this planet intent on stopping him.
This isn't over yet.
