Mr. Dazzle wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 6:01 pm Yeah it's MSM hyperbole, they didn't have a years worth of rain in a day. :wtf:
Where, in any of the comments, was it mentioned that they didn't have a years worth of rain?
If you mean 1957, they had 500mm over two days.
No, I questioned the post as I couldn't see anyone that said they didn't have over a years worth of rain. I didn't understand why Mr Dazzle posted it, that's all.

Maybe I missed a post. Dunno.

Police have asked people to stop sharing graphic images of a pensioner who was decapitated when he was hit by a bus in Edinburgh city centre.

Social media has been flooded with photographs and videos of the 74-year-old’s remains after the collision at the heart of the capital’s nightlife district on Saturday evening.

The city’s police commander said that the images — including one in which a reveller appears to mistake his severed head for a Halloween decoration — were upsetting the victim’s family.

I thought that was a leaked internal police memo.

I got sent a copy of them pictures and videos. No sign of a bus. Folk where saying the body was chucked from a car. Some poor sod picked the head up thinking it was a Halloween prank.

Grammar gone wrong.
Felix: “ them” pics. Also Folk “where”… (which I didn’t notice)
Nobby: corrected - “ those”
Horse: them (not sure why?)
S-L: were - correction cf where
Horse: was (?)
Me: thought S-L was ironically asking“ where”, so I ironically replied “up their”.

It’s a mess.

We seem to have invented a new form of surrealist word association.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one

FFS, another 180! :x

Links are to twitter/x video of Starmer and Rayner championing their free education for all, by scrapping tuition fees, which of course has turned out to be yet more bollocks from this shower and indeed, they have put them up, not scrapped them!

Not taking political sides, but tuition fees should not be free.
