Went down the following day to grovel and make another apptmt, expecting a 2?week plus delay. Hang on, she said…. Yep, we could do you now! Sleeve up, jab, home again 2 min later. 👍👍😀
Went into a local pharmacy with someone to pick up their prescription recently. They got the tabs and the pharmacist said 'Flu jab while you're here?' (They'd already had one).

Our local health centre runs mass flu 'jab ins' on Saturdays - it's all a bit of a party, you meet folk you haven't seen for ages*. It is by appointment though but they must do a few '000.

* I even got jabbed by my actual GP one year!

Nah - but I’ve dealt with worse all my life (being built in a way that makes it virtually impossible for men to talk to my face!!), and I’ve ended up laughing at most of this 🤣🤣🤣.

But was mostly in response to Mr D !! Just happened to see this on FB the same day

TBF, I had one at 25. Sadly no fucker tells you that hormones mean that they grow back/refill so there was no point  FFS  I'd probably not have another, but I'd love to have them 'repositioned'

Woohoooooo and bloody awesome!!! Well, there's a flip side!!! But for starters - WOOOOO bloody HOOOOOOO

I only bloody passed the highway code yesterday! By the skin of my teeth - but that's good enough!! I was sure I'd failed again because I knew I hadn't understood all the questions properly, but I must have guessed well just enough!!!

The flipside/downside is that I have overheard the instructor telling someone else that the school will not accept the pass through another company. Despite three of my fellow students having a certificate exactly like I have just received and so not having to take the code with the rest of us

I am a little confused about the whys and wherefores, but I'll go and ask my tutor/instructor on Monday and if she says no, I'll ask my boss to find out if he can sway the school at all (he's way more fierce than I've ever been, even in English!! I'm not particularly fierce in French because I don't have all the words :( :( )

Anyway - if he can persuade them, then I'll get my licence in time to start driving buses at the beginning of December, but if not, then I'll have to take the test on the 25th November and then wait until about three weeks (if I pass again!) - bit late for work, but just so long as I pass!!!

Tyre pressure warning light came on in the Duster as I left work on Thursday eve.
I drove home, and back in the next day. Straight into the workshop, 18Psi means there's an issue. Office girl walks past " Abby, do we have anyone booked for tyres first thing? can I do a puncture on my own car please". "No worries, carry on".
20 minutes later I've repaired it, refitted and topped up the other tyres to. No charge either!

If I have to have a screw in my tyre, that's the way to have it play out !

Wifey is away in Benidorm for a couple of nights with her vegan brother and his vegan wife. I'm just back from dinner at a friends place, we went to the pub for a few beers then back to their place for roast pork, roast potatoes in with the pork, cauliflower cheese and carrots. It was very tasty. :D

This put a smile on my face....

AV Scanner News - Santa Clarita.

11-79…NB5 at NB14 transition…vehicle vs motorcycle…rider down…motorcycle on fire…CHP and FD enroute code 3
UPDATE: CHP on scene…rider has severe burns to legs…appears to be in stable condition
UPDATE 2: motorcycle comes back as stolen.

The likely took him to Henry Mayo hospital. If he was at my local hospital I'd have dropped by & sprayed some Ghost Pepper sauce on his burns. Hopefully the severe burns also extend to his wedding tackle.

Booked next year's holiday with same firm I went with last year.
Last year I had some hassle with information arriving late etc, and they offered £500 off my next booking.
Today they remembered that £500 discount without prompting. :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Wonder if the bikes owner gave chase and served up his own justice!

I am happy with the fallen leaves in your woods. Less happy with the shed load that land on my decking every day.

I got the leaflet blower out the other weekend. It blew all the leaves around nicely.

Eventually I gave up and got the yard broom out.

Dragonflies having sex in your pool
Just in the process of winterizing the pool, and a couple of them were en flagrante mid air, then fell in the pool, but back on the horse straight away and up, up and away!
