Re: Fri thread. What you got.
Give my regards to Annie, the saucy minx.
Tonight I will do a cheeky gym sesh before heading out with the Distinguished Gentlemen for a few pints and a Ruby. I know, original for blokes to do that on a Friday!
Saturday - Not much. Will visit a mate who has just had an op on his trotters. He was born with both feet 'flipped', i.e. upside down and facing backwards. Spent his first 6 months of life having his bones broken and reset. 50 years on, not surprising that they're giving him gyp. Had some bones fused together, stop them grinding. Ouch.
Sunday, F-I-L mentioned he'd not had a roast dinner for months, so we're doing a big pork joint, creamed leeks, cauli cheese, spuds, the works. Maybe a bread and butter pudding for afters. Pointless making it for three people, so we have friends round too. Might as well feed the five thousand, eh?

Knocking off work about 4 and then off to the pub with my two F-i-Ls later and hopefully my Son is going to join us.
Tomorrow probably helping my Son move the last bits into his flat.
Sunday off to my Daughters for Sunday dinner. Roast chicken done on an expensive rotisserie BBQ thing.

It's refresher and validation training for others so I might just be the victim, trussed up, strapped to a stretcher and then carried over rough ground. We shall see.gremlin wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 11:01 amGive my regards to Annie, the saucy minx.

Re: Fri thread. What you got.
A couple of post-work beers tonight.
Tomorrow: A full day of spannering the Himalayan, new exhaust (after swearing at exhaust nuts for an hour before getting the wizzer on them), handguards and a new front tyre. If it's not dark before I'm done it will get a quick shakedown ride.
Sunday: Emtb ride somewhere undecided as yet followed by a nice Lamb Tagine for tea

Nights, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, hoping our elderly HMI computer system holds together for another 7 days till it's replaced.

Re: Fri thread. What you got.
Off for a mini-break at the stately gaff (actually staying in a pub this time).
Hopefully less stress than the week just gone, which involved hanging around hospitals on 3 separate days. (Won the 'bag a par£ing space' race twice and actually found a hospital with free parking and plenty of space once).
Medicine has gone the way of IT. Problem with the heart*? No worries, we'll switch it off and back on again. Alt-Ctrl-Del...with applied high voltage. Clear! Zzzap!
* Not mine....I haven't got one.

Re: Fri thread. What you got.
Working all weekend on earlies so up at stupid o clock, about 0440 unless I snooze the alarm!
New “smart” meter in on Monday to work with the air source heating going in the following week.
Lates Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, then 12 days off for the heating install and other stuff.
Somewhere in there I’m out on the bike and booking us a few days away in Dartmouth.
Enjoy, have fun,
Mick.

Re: Fri thread. What you got.
Today has been the first day of a three day weekend! (Small bonus of living in a very Catholic country ). Had a very very long lie in this morning and have been sorting/tidying/packing (for next week!) and generally being pretty proactive! Bit more to do tomorrow though!
Tomorrow - got to do some revision for next week. At some point in the week I have to do a 3.5 hour exam that includes a driving manoeuvre. This time it's the driving bit that is worrying me as I haven't been able to practice that as much as I had expected and hoped to!
Bit more sorting. Might go out on the bike, but might just go for a walk (still waiting for the unemployment allowance to arrive, only a day late, but kinda fucks up my plans for the weekend!)
Going to make some fruit crumble with fruit from the freezer - they'll then go back in the freezer!! But baking is generally a really good destress for me, so will do revision either side!! LOL
Sunday - more revision. More stress. Hopefully head to Chambery in the late afternoon, but depends if the money comes in by then - probably not cos it's weekend If not, more revision. Packing for the week - since we don't know which day the exam will be, so I am probably just going to stay the week so I don't have almost two hours driving each way every day!! Probably a bit of baking too!!
Then lots of crossing of fingers for the next week!!

Re: Fri thread. What you got.
Pint with middle brother earlier today, which is a rare thing. Younger daughter joined after shift number three in her new part-time job which she's doing again tomorrow.
Cooking Plov tomorrow evening but no plans beyond that.
