MotoGP, no idea who the hell 95% of the riders are, no interest in watching non-Japanese bikes.

Snowboarding and skiing - from 21 yrs old onwards, I went every year. I moved the Switzerland, and went every w/e in the season. Now, I live in Brighton, and depsite having all the Gear, lift passes has become stupidly expensive, flight surcharges to takes boards / skis expensive, resorts crowded. Last time I went to Courcheval it was full of loud , brash and very aggressive Russians.
Mountaining biking - an early adopter - but then I stopped (and got fat). Started again in 2010 ish and love it.
Running - jogging for fitness. Two ruptured achillies later and I was told to stop. It used to be a great way to wind down from work and get the aggression out of me
Sailing - brother has a boat but its too much faff
Windsurfing - gave up when I was 35 ish because MTB took over. Tried again 5 years ago but hated all the rigmarole - so sold all the gear I had bought.
Power kiting - tried it, bought one and found it became dull very quickly.
Music - as in listening and going to see bands. It just became non-relevant and ticket prices are stupid
Watching Superbikes and MotoGP - just lost touch really

Now I MTB , ride motorbikes in nice weather, travel occassionaly, eat out a bit in nice places and walk the dog !!

Cars. Used to do tuning, big engine swaps e.g 2 litre Pinto into an Escort.

Then I got married and didn’t have the time.

Now I can’t even be arsed doing my own servicing.

It’s a bit depressing that my bog standard 1 litre Fiesta would stomp all over anything I built.

Given up loads of hobbies as my approach is to try everything I fancy and see what i actually like.

The big things that I did for more than five minutes that have gone by the wayside are cycling and kayaking. I got labyrinthitis a few year back for the best part of a year and stopped anything that needed a sense of balance. The only thing I picked up again that I stopped was motorcycling.

I consider myself pretty lucky (although not at the time) as after 9 months all the symptoms pretty much went away. I’m left with a poor sense of balance in the dark with no reference points and tinnitus but considering the alternative I’ll take that.

Can I join this select club?

Mines actually Chiari Type 1. Almost overnight (sometime within a 10 day period) my ability to walk straight went away and has never found it's way back.

If you're bored:
viewtopic.php?t=809

So, bikes of any type on-road is not happening again. I've ridden once since:
viewtopic.php?p=282883

But it's also buggered up walking on uneven ground. That's crimped even things like seaside / cliff path walks over wet rocks, etc.

But given the no operation alternative was disability, then incontinence, and eventually death ...
Even bland can be a type of character

Ran a race team for a few years back in the 90's, including a season of European Rounds.

Never fancied sailing.

Never done Columbian Marching powder.

I have tried divorce three times. Not going to try again...
