Those :angry-cussingblack: useless Dyson things that just blow the water on your hands back up your shirt cuffs. There's usually a grubby line on the floor underneath where they drip too. Great design - my poop chute.

Actually, electric hand dryers generally.

One of my [increasing] pet hates is the way toilets are laid out.

Typically, the wash basin is closer to the door than the towels / dryer. People have to criss-cross.

Lay them out in a loop. Walk in, to urinals or cubicles, away/out on the loop to wash basins, then dry hands and out the door.

Mine is that all the towel thingies at GVA are right handed (and pretty much everywhere else, but GVA had a refurb a few years ago, so could have sorted it better). So you have to twist a thingy on the right side to be able to get a towel.

There is not a single dispenser at the level that a person with a disability can reach, or a child. And for someone who's right arm does not go high enough to turn the thingy its just annoying.

There's disabled toilets, but no way to then dry your hands  :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:

I guess they're currently laid out by whoever built my current accom.
Bay window with deep ledge, radiator in front, full height curtain above. Close the curtain and all the heat from the radiator is directed right at the window and kept away from the room.

Virgin Media. No internet today. My thinking is a computer crashed when the clocks went back or they dont have any engineers working on a Sunday. This is not just me as apparently a lot of East Lothian is down.

I like the posh places where you have a fella hands you a nice, clean hand towel and then offers a bowl of well-fingered mints plus a selection of shoplifted fragrances.

The usual cop out of 'Sorry, mate. No change' has been stymied by the appearance of iZettle machines set to £1 a tap. :(

Why do vehicle manufacturers use stupid volumes for their lubricant capacity.
I know dealerships have an enormous drum of oils they use, so they don't care, but oil is sold in 1-4-5-10l tubs, so fucking design your motors with that in mind, eh!
Anyone else remember when bike oils were 5l as well..........and breathe

Or, the website he found didn't have the 4l bottles, only the 1l and he panicking because he thought he needed it "right now" and so the cost became the lesser priority.

I have a TENS machine for Sciatica. I am still not sure if its a placebo / snake oil, but it does seem to help.

What I am sure of now, is that if one of the plugs comes unlodged and zaps you in the bollox, it stings a bit.

More likely he couldn't be arsed to go to 2 different websites, so just ordered all the bits from 'onda

Some teachers

I know, it's my fault cos I'm not a French national and I don't have a total grip on the language.

However, they are getting just shy of 10 grand to put me through this course.

BUT FFS, turns out I've misunderstood the last major 'project' - which is also set out on the most bloody awful-to-use spreadsheet document I've ever seen (pretty sure the average ten year old could have made one more user friendly!)

Luckily one of the other tutors (who also could have made sure last week that I understood what he said when the whole class was talking at the same time) was willing to come and spend some time this evening sat in the reception area of the hotel I'm at and explain things to me.

Ok, he said it's not necessary to do all 6 parts, and I've clarified with some fellow students who said, yes, he did say that on Thursday but the main tutor said it's better to do all 6 (WTF didn't any of them explain to me when I said I didn't understand and couldn't do it!)

But due to him taking the time to come and explain it to me and help me understand the process better, I now think I can do it (maybe not all 6 but I'll give it a go) and give the examiners enough to quiz me on next week.

So much stress to go through for something that really shouldn't be that bad, but lack of comms in this course has been a really big thing   (Ok, some of it is me not understanding/hearing things, even tho I was sure I hadn't missed anything the main tutor had said )

Hey ho - a week and a day to go, plus a highway code retake!!

Driving to Dyfi and coming down to a junction, we hear *dunk *dunk *dunk *dunk.
Thought it was something flapping about in van, but as we go round the corner it's still there.

We stop for a look.

We spend a few mins finding the spare wheel, then a few more on YouTube learning how to get it off.

The 15 mins with the jack getting it up and replaced.

Drive 10 miles and dropped into a tyre place in Bridgenorth and get a new tyre on
