Strewth! Winter vomit virus or one of the other ones?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:30 am Recovering from serious lurgy, I lost a stone in weight in 2 days this week
I've been a bit bleurgh for a week after the Covid booster this year (link not proven - but rather coincidental). Dramatic weight loss.....2lb
This week involves a fair bit of competitive hospital car park space grabbing. To make it more interesting they've introduced new locations making it more of a tour event rather than a straight sprint.

Have a good one @weeksy
Currently sitting in the Eye clinic waiting for the lesion on my left eye, which came up earlier this week, to be fully examined. Rest of the day will apparently be spent with my pupil fully dilated, which is supposed to be quite trippy.
Rest of the weekend, hoping to get a haircut, probably a lot of gardening....

Merry happy! Have a good one
Today I'm WFH till 12, then off out to meet a mate/old work colleague for lunch, followed by a lazy few hours, then out to a comedy gig this evening.
Sat/Sun: TBC - relax and have a couple of lie-ins to make up for working last weekend.

This weekend we've volunteered to have my four year old great nephew to stay.
If I survive I'll check back in on Monday. Wish me luck.

Happy Birthday@weeksy.
Friday; finished a night shift, tip run with a successful evasion of the Tip Taliban at the gate, trip to vets to collect Meds, ordered more pet Meds. Currently finishing a cup of tea before giving the hedge its haircut for autumn/winter. Might mow the swamp if possible. Dog walk. Ciders tonight. Maybe a bonfire as well.
Sat: MTB (possibly) over the squishy Sarf Dahns. Friends around in the evening.
Sun: 12hr day at Work (OT).

Re: Friday thread.. the Birthday one..
I think winter vomit, basically, felt a bit rough Saturday, Sunday worked at Battersea but wasn't feeling well, Monday early morning rushed to loo and exploded from both orifices, didn't eat until Wednesday. I now look lovely and slim and feel a lot lighter, but feel quite weak. My wife is jealous of how much weight I've lost.Count Steer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:53 amStrewth! Is Crust offering any special services for the birthday night out ?
And the boggy bits are really boggy.

The Sarf Dahns was at its scariest yesterday - the green chalk in out in force and very, very hungry. Don't use the front brake on downhills!MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:01 am

Happy Birthday for tomorrow weeksy, have a great day!
We've just got back from a few days away and I'm still on leave until Tuesday, so might do something else if the weathers good but no real plans. Probably just hang out with my Son as its his last weekend at home, or go up to my daughters as s-i-l has a new Kamado Joe bbq thing and keeps hitting the family WhatsApp group with images of delicious looking things!

I got loads of chores done yesterday and today, because the weather looked to be decent on Saturday, but now looks like rain. We'll see. I've nothing planned outside of taking a run on the bike.
Happy pre-podding anniversary to our esteemed, godlike and glorious leader,I shall now spend tomorrow with my head on a mat facing towards the holy Liverpool contemplating in worshipful respect and awe.
Or maybe I'll knock one out to pron.

Have a good one @weeksy
Nights from tomorrow, which means an extra hour on duty due to the clocks going somewhere!!
Sunday same with no extra hour
Monday, same.
Then 3 days off.
Have fun, whatever or whoever you’re doing.

Happy birthday, weeksy! I notice you didn't say which one it was...
Today I shall be mostly driving north from the Sarf of France and hoping the van keeps hold of its fluids, particularly the coolant. It's got me, Mrs Mango and Wilko le Chat to transport, as well as 50 litres of wine and an Aprilia Falco.
It's not easy driving when you've got everything crossed...

Re: Friday thread.. the Birthday one..
I'm saving the birthday happies for tomorrow!!
Today - what a long day, but being flirted with/bantered with made it ok (And a biker no less!! )
Had half a pizza for tea but am still hungry, then realised I didn't have breakfast or lunch and only a cheap sarnie at about 15h. So I'm defrosting/cooking a couple of homemade spring rolls!
Tomorrow - hopefully a bit of a lie in!! Then to the valley to get a copy of my driving licence certified for some winter paperwork. Hopefully meet a friend for coffee (and maybe the instructor from school too )
Then more studying for the highway code but mostly for the huge exam we have the week after next!!
Sunday - similar. Just different people to have coffee with I think!! LOL
