Yes, that's my experience too. It's a touchy subject if approached insensitively. I mentioned the trans racial issue as it has become quite the issue in the US of A regarding people claiming native American Indian heritage. There's land and funds available for these genuine indigenous folk. The interview also included a young man who thought his nose was unusually broad, so he had fillers to plump his lips and used some Mabelline foundation to darken his skin to trans his race. I was both intrigued and saddened.

So you're at it again. Editing my post so you can make some snarky comment regarding the subselection of words you have chosen rather than the meaning of my original post.

That is the thrust of my argument, Kamala is making a big song and dance about how black she is, not me. I am merely observing how this changed over the years, the ambiguity and lies by omission in her autobiography (where the white side of her family has been blackwashed out of existence and a few candidates for "grandmother" inserted). She also takes on a weird affected accent from ghetto black to Jamaican depending on the audience.

This is an extremely dangerous time for the world, let alone America who are just itching for a decent war. Congrats to Kamala for literally sleeping her way to the top but even a puppet needs to have some semblance of authority and political statemanship. Kamala is an empty suit. I tend to agree. Really I just think she is overegging the pudding. It is literally the only thing she has: She is a (real) woman [tick], she is or claims to be black [tick] and she is not Trump [tick]. That is literally why Biden picked her ("I am going to have a black woman as my VP" was his promise remember). That is all she has got. She is ticking the DEI boxes.
