Been daily commuting so no picturesque shots .... did clean it though and not bad for an 8 year old bike with 28200 miles on it and all weather use
Its dirty already as commuting again

If you buy anything with a high collar, be sure it will be comfortable under your main jacket.
Even bland can be a type of character

I'm fussy about that too. I hate anything 'choking' me. A buff or neck tube is a good compromise.

Last bike night of the year, they stop when the clocks go back,so I thought I'd call in.
I'm not sure how stripped back this BMW boxer is,it looks a lot smaller than the usual behemoths
I had a chat with one of the owners of the local bike shop,we bought a few bike's from him back when my mates & me were teenagers. He was on this Honda 175 & had just agreed a deal with a bloke who owned a 450 Black Bomber.
Here's some nostalgia, over the years thousands of LC's & VFR's must have been sold, these days you don't see many.
The next Bike meet's on Boxing day, that's only a couple of months away

Looks like the 1100GS. I had one of those and I much preferred it to the 1150GS I had later on. IIRC there isnt much actual weight difference but it felt a better and lighter bike.Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:11 pm Last bike night of the year, they stop when the clocks go back,so I thought I'd call in.

I don't think it had a beak fitted,maybe that's what confused me.

Well the V prefix would put it in 1100GS territory. Interesting that the screen and the beak are missing...maybe in rebuild mode? (Can't see that you'd remove the screen as a design choice).Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 8:11 am I don't think it had a beak fitted, maybe that's what confused me.

I had Mr.Green out for a sail today. Lovely dry, clean roads and I was nearly home when I had to run through muck and water from roadworks,so now I need to properly wash it with water and everything.

I'll SORN my Street Triple & give it a deep clean next week, despite my best efforts all my bikes are currently covered in grime from the mud covered roads around here.I guess at the moment it's the same for most bikes based in the UK

Much better than @Skub murals, I give you the cleaners red door
Was definitely chilly on the ride in at 6.15am with 90% of the roads damp and didn't get light till after I arrived. However the ride home should be nice and I'm still riding on 24 Oct so I'll take that

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Woke up to a lovely morning, clear skies and not too cold, no sign of overnight rain so I headed out.
Wish I hadn't! The good weather was extremely local and within a few miles the roads were slick with heavy dew and there was mud and/or leaves around almost every corner.
All I got for my trouble was front-end anxiety, wheelspin and a bike that needs washing. I was back home inside of 45 minutes.

Comes with the uk territory especially at this time of year when we are well into bonus time.ChrisW wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 5:16 pm Woke up to a lovely morning, clear skies and not too cold, no sign of overnight rain so I headed out.

I just settled for time out,zen and the art of polishing. It can be quite therapeutic sometimes.

When I'm bored senseless and can't think of anything to do, I usually end up in the garage with the microfiber.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I was out for a ride with 3 of my mates earlier. It was a bit foggy early on & the road conditions were 'sub optimal' but ended up being a lovely Autumn day
I was on the SV650X,my mates were on a Hyabussa,Enfield Bullet & one of those new liquid cooled Himalayans.
At the start of the year our mate Barry was on a Ducati Monster,he then changed that for some type of Harley, then that got changed for a RE Interceptor & now he's swapped that for a RE Himalayan. We're wondering if the Himalayan will last until the end of the year..
At the cafe we had a chat with the owner of this AJS

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
A few hours around some greasy , leafy back lanes and bumpy b roads this afternoon, the GS is ideal in these conditions . Ended up at the superbike factory for a mooch.
Enjoyable afternoon, especially for this time of the year.
