Got told today by a pharmacist that I shouldn't be taking anti inflammatories with the paracetamol whilst I've got a cough

Well damn. Longer time with a cough (and generally more sexy voice :angelic-green: ) or hurty arm :( :( Rock n a hard place as ever :(

She also gave me anti histamines that are one per 24 hours    FFS, I want the runny face situation JUST STOP! Not ask it nicely if it would mind buggering off fairly soon!!

Halloween.

Can you be Ba Humbug about any event or just Christmas?

We spend time and money recycling, buying bags for life etc. and generally being good little citizens then all of a sudden go crazy and import container ships full of plastic tat from China that decorate houses and gardens then go to landfill. Thousands of tons of plastic waste, millions of plastic costumes, millions of pumpkins all just dumped.

They talk about banning fireworks on Nov 5th. I'd much rather they banned Halloween.

Been in this so called council sink hole for the past 18 years now. Come Halloween we have been putting the house in darkness at the front so the little scroungers dont come calling. I just discovered last week that as a rule if you dont have a lit pumpkin on the doorstep or in garden area in general then they dont come a calling. Thats me sorted then as i have never bought one in my life.

Surprisingly it's huge here and takes over all the town. I don't go out that night.

It's an imported 'festival' anyway, the Yanks can have it back.

I'm all for Halloween. Wish we made as much as it as the yanks do. It can be a real community thing and we need more of that. We get a couple of bags of choccie bars and hand them out to the kids in their outfits. Lovely to see their outfits and each year we see more effort going into it an the houses get decorated a bit better each year too. More festivals please!

Ban it!

I hate to see people having fun, especially children.

You miserable old bugger!

We get a small percentage of irksome older teens but in the main it's primary school kids with happy parents standing a couple of metres back.

I much prefer it to Christmas.

I was brought up with Nov 5th being the important day, 'penny for the Guy's, etc. Ok, it might not be too PC now, but at least making a Guy involved some effort.

Screws, punctures, and fancy foam lined Pireillis which cost £275.

For anyone who saw my "where my tyre pressure at?" thread in the mechanics section, this was the other front wheel :obscene-birdiedoublered:

We no longer get kids doing 'Halloween Rhyming' as it used to be know here. Mrs.Skub used to buy a load of sweets n' schitt for the callers, but the patents must be too scared of stranger danger to let them out now.

It's just another retail event these days.

Yeah, it's really been cut back here too, strangely after the year I injected all the milky ways with bleach.

We were old school and had 'Mischievous Night' - knocking on doors was involved but no demands for treats/money...we ran away. :D

We did do 'penny for the guy' too but that didn't involve any bothering of people in their homes, just standard ragamuffin begging type activity.

More of less insignificant but a minor irritation is People Cutting Onions Up RONG!
And while I'm I'm on the subject, when they complain about onions causing tears whilst cutting and not understanding that a properly sharp knife greatly lessens the spray of teargas the onion chucks out.
Fuckwits are probably cutting against a glass chopping board as well.

Apparently the way I do it is wrong, and the way my wife does it is right
