Currently have a hayes hfx9 with a 160 disc on the back.
It's either on or off....not exactly subtle in its action.
Don't want to spend a shed load of money, just fancy something that has more feel rather than noisy, noisy, noisy...lock

I’m guessing this is quite an old bike as the HFX9 hasn’t been produced in years?!?!
Always difficult to fault Shimano Deore on a price per £ basis, but also not the most modulated of brakes either. Hearing good things about the Clarks M3’s that are crazy cheap @£42.99 for a pair @ Tredz right now but no personal experience…

Yeah just fit a Deore on the rear then... Flush, only paid £35 for the saint off eblag a few years ago.
