Yes.
Probably OK, but no guarantees. Watch prices have been silly recently, IMO dragged up by comparison with Rolex where second hand prices were artificial since you couldn't buy new.

In a few years it is quite possible watches will be passe, and people will only buy one cheap and reliable watch. Yours would then be worth a few hundred at best.

The other thing to beware of is fakes. Some are extremely good, and if they can fake a watch the box and papers are not a problem. Can you trust the seller?
Anything is possible, but I think for a good speedy (or SM come to that) to drop to a few hundred would be a hell of a drop.

Watches are unnecessary anyway, and anyone who wants a cheap and reliable watch will buy one.

The market for high end watches will ebb and flow but I can’t see it fully collapsing.

Well it's kind of a moon watch.
I hate to say it, but I'm really struggling to like mine.

Its just too light for me.

Considering moving it on somehow. Might keep it as a gift for my "nephew" at Christmas.

I must admit, I was very underwhelmed by them as well, but then again I am by all swatch branded watches. I’ve got a 1990s irony that I quite like but apart from that every swatch that I’ve liked the look of had soured when I tried it on.

I sold my Speedy about a year ago, just didn't wear it. Sub is my daily and Seamaster makes an odd appearance these days....

I've had a few Swatches over the years and i do like the Irony models. I may pick one up, simply to feed my hankering for a chronograph.

I have a very old Swatch (well, maybe 25-30 years old! Probably not 'very'!) and I've put it somewhere safe  I wanted to find it out and put a new battery in it so I don't have to keep my phone in my pocket for time at school. Can't find it. So I started looking at watches

Ok, the one I have 'somewhere' is not exactly small - from memory - but why are watches so damned huge??

I found two lovely ones but they are almost 4cm across the wrist. My wrist is only about 6cm so a 4cm face on it would be HOOOOGE!! :( :(

Anyway - they're pretty! Not in the same price brackets as most of yous lot! But I kinda like them - even if they are too big!!

The smaller sized one looks really plasticky :( :(

There are pretty jewellery type ones, but I want a day to day jobbie with a simple strap. Will have to find my old one I guess, or deal with having ahooge watch on my wrist!! LOL

The first looks reasonably ok for daily wear, but still bastard huge!!!

This is about the right size for me, but doesn't look like it would last a days work!! (And would be a bit incongruous for work!!)

Didn't think it would be this hard to find a nice watch that 'fits'!! The main reason I haven't looked at the apple ones, despite them doing some of the stuff I'd like to have info on, is that they are just way too big :( :(

Guess I need to go to the kids section!!

I've had a couple of garmins with rubber straps, my skin always gets irritated and red as soon as any sweat gets trapped under the strap....which happens quite a lot with a fitness tracker

Fortunately it's pretty easy to change to a fabric one

Mrs D doesn't have this issue.

Get a Baby G, and don't worry about the practice strap.

Advice seems to be a long the lines of 'don't wear a sports watch if you'll get sweaty' :D

With my Versa, I loosened the strap two notches. That sorted it.
