This does not look good, to put it mildly. I have relatives in the New Port Richey area and they've evacuated as advised as have most of the predicted affected area residents I expect. There will of course be some that stay and amybe even soem that cant get out!

Looks like it downgraded when it hit land, but of course has still left a wake of destruction and floods in its path. Not heard from my cousins to see if the still have a house yet. I gather they were expecting the worse and i cant get my head round that. Imagine being told to leave your house and then not knowing if you're coming back to nothing other than a pile of firewood!
