An accurate description I think.

CU57ARD could be amusing, as could RO08ARB.

I've always thought having a plate that's easy to remember is a bad thing. Possibly because I like to drive/ride somewhat enthusiastically. Officer.

I did occasionally think that OR04NGE would be good for the Striple though. 🍊 Never looked to see if it was an option though.

Love me an orange bike (probably why I keep lusting after Skub's new toy).

Thinking about it, my mate in Oz used to have a yellow SV650, with the rego BNANA or something similar. 🍌Cost about $40 apparently.

My CX500 was ...500V but that's what I picked from the list of numbers the dealer offered. The first three letters weren't my initials though.

When I was a yoof a couple of acquaintances did a bit of wheeling and dealing in interesting registrations. Their top earner was FLY 99.

Where I used to live a local woman had a non-descript Honda car with THE80SS on. The plate was worth more than the car. :D

We have a local chimney sweep with a plate that says 'SOOTY' can't remember how he's done it though 50 OTY?? Doesn't seem right. Similarly a piano teacher has created 'PIANO T' somehow. A horsey type (or someone with a hen pecked husband) has got NAG 1. There's a company that services building site toilets and they have plates on the service vehicles that have LOO ... on them.

My neighbour has a car collection and the registrations are all a sequence that references his past sideline as a Nurburgring instructor.

I had a BMX registration...but no BMX. :D

But no, I've never bought a registration and probably never will unless I get lucky and land the right one in AB 1 format on an old heap where the owner doesn't understand the value of the plate. :D

Edit: Oh, and someone in the area has 'AUSSIE' configured somehow.

My Dad's R65LS had the plate "SRX 600 Y"

But afaik no-one ever offered him money for it, back then they weren't worth much.

A garden centre near my parents often has a Merc parked in the manager's space with the plate BO55 MAN.

I used to drop stop at Red Bull Racing all the time, there was often an Aston parked right outside the front door with the plate V12 RBR. Turns out that's Adrian Newey's car. Back when I last went there it was a Vantage V12, it's now on a Valkyrie.

They're all rubbish compared to this.

Fella round here had RAD10 1 on a Merc SL, owns an outdoor broadcast company. Just looked and not currently assigned though, so may be on retention now?

A local 'night time economy' person has got 'CASINO' on a Humvee - or something equally tasteless. I think he owns a nightclub or two.

I've also got L21 ARO, which means absolutely nothing to me, but it came on a previous car and I kept it.

Hides the age of the wife's car now :)

Now I've looked and it's not coming up, but also not showing on the MOT checker. Suppose that means it's on retention somewhere...

Many years ago the owner of a local Italian restaurant brought a new Fiesta and was able to pick out his reg number from a list like you used to do back then, He chose DAR 10T as his name is Dariot! DVLA just didnt twig things back then.
