Private Plates
Re: Private Plates
The owner of a local groundworks company has P1KEY
No, he doesn't like dags or live in a caravan, his surname is PIKE, though he's known to most as pikey.
Apparently certain groups take a dislike to the plate though he has been offered a load of cash by one.

Re: Private Plates
The guy who owns our company has this plate...
Weirdly though that's not his car, he has it on a different 'GT40'. The one in the pic is a press demo from Superperformance, the firm that build the replicas. His is also a Superperformance car, but not that particular one.

Saved a lot of hassle in remembering reg numbers.

Both mine came free by chance - the car looks like WHISKY but isn't, the bike ends in VUM... voom voom. Wouldn't have bought one, but I'm happy to keep these.

Re: Private Plates
Prefix style plates A-H with the numbers 25 and 26 go on sale on the official DVLA site tomorrow at 10am.
Got my eye on an A25 plate with my initials on it for £399.
25 is my lucky number

Re: Private Plates
I bought one from DVLA RA63 initials then LDV. Once i got conformation and the code to put it on my bus i was told i was not allowed to use the plate as it made my bus look younger. Lucky i got a 14 day cooling off period. Full refund.

What!
They won't let you put £250 plate on your vehicle to make it look 10 years newer, what utter bastards.

That could have added several pounds to the value of an LDV van.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 4:06 pm What!

Re: Private Plates
I know. My cunning plan was foiled. They stopped making the Convoy in 2004/5 ish so someone would need to be thick as pig shit to think it was any newer.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 4:06 pm What!

Re: Private Plates
This is my personal plate and it’s only ever been owned by me as it did not exist before. I had it made then won it at auction as that is how it works. I wanted it for my Evo back in the day and when I got rid of the Evo I’ve had it on every bike since and now that I’m bikeless it’s on my current car.
