Give Phil a chance?
Mr Schofield is back on our TVs, giving his side to the story, in a ch5 program called Castaway. It seems he doesn't accept his doings were of the wrong type, just inadvisable and I gather he thinks he should have another chance at being on TV?
For me, I think its was his arrogance as well as his predatory wrong doings that brought him down. He thought he was Mr Daytime Tv and would survive it all and well anything else really. That said I don't think he needed to be hounded to the brink of suicide, but he could have prevented it all.
What did emerge from all this was the claims from many others, guests and colleagues, that he was a nasty manipulative bit of work. I don't really care if he crawls back or not, but I guess I don't really think he deserves it?

If there was a £1,000 prize, you'd know who he is.
No points for pretending not to know.

He's a bloke on the telly, there are millions of other blokes on the telly, women too, his worth to me is about that of my belly button fluff.

I know he was sacked for something, but never caught what it was for.... so no idea if he should or shouldn't be accepted again.

Re: Give Phil a chance?
He had a work relationship.
With someone a lot younger than himself, who he had known since before that person was old enough to consent.
Not a crime, but a teeny bit too cringe for some.

Re: Give Phil a chance?
Like all these 'celebrities' they have a deep and unending desire to be the centre of attention (and get paid large sums of wonga for being it). He's just trying to get back on the TV teat and start sucking again. I personally hope he falls flat on his arse, but it's not going to alter my life one iota whatever happens to him.

But their inappropriate relationships were with girls, which is totally fine. It's only the bumbers we get upset about.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 9:23 amSo how doe we feel about David Bowie?KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 7:55 am He had a work relationship.

In the 60s/70s if you were in the music biz and didn't have a piece of jailbait on the go you'd be regarded as ghey...Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 9:23 amSo how doe we feel about David Bowie?KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 7:55 am He had a work relationship.
