If a pint was too big, the dosage wouldn’t include multiple servings.
On a serious note, we drink is such large measures compared to other countries as we don’t have such a warm climate. And as the beer is “warm” already , the taste effect of it warming is not so great.
And then there is the duty issue …

But let’s face it, these idiots are just wankers talking shit.
Researchers from the behaviour and health research unit at the University of Cambridge (heard of it?!) have recommended that the traditional British pint be abandoned in favour of the two-thirds measure.

Used to work with a bloke who would order his pint first in the round, neck it whilst the bar staff would pour the others, then ask for another one before paying. And we weren't talking big rounds, either.

Fuck me he could pour a pint down his neck.

One evening we went for a curry down Wapping. Bloke came to take the drinks order. I decide to make life easy for him and ask for a show of hands for a large bottle of Cobra. 9 hands out of 10 went up.

Waiter looks at my big-drinking mate. 'What would you like, sir?'

'White wine'

'Glass of white wine for Sir'

'No. A bottle'

Yep. For every bottle of Cobra we necked, he finished a bottle of white.

I think sir is misunderstanding my point. One serving (at least with my friends) is never enough and multiple servings are required to complete the required dosage. The effect on their respective bladders is evidenced by the number of times they slope off to the John.

He is entitled to leave, and no one on here 'deserves' an explanation. I will miss his contributions, but I wish him well.

It is stunning that if that was a sporting event , or a similar event outside of London, it would have been cancelled years ago.

Hasn't she also said that they are going to solve the small boat issue? She is beginning to sound like Priti Patel / Suella Braverman :hmmm:

'ISG collapse ‘far worse than initial figures suggest’

https://www.scottishconstructionnow.com ... es-suggest

ISG Ltd is a England based construction company that employed around 3,000 people, mainly in the UK, mainland Europe and the Middle East, particularly the UAE. By turnover, it was the sixth biggest contractor in the UK.

That's a shame, I hope everyone's ok. Still, it's part of the old tools game.
