All I can add to this is that he once threatened to cut my mate's cock off with a banana knife.
Was that a really special threat?
Having no idea what a banana knife it, i would have thought "Letter Knife" would be top trumps in the scare factor

Potter has left the building.

He posted on the forum section asking to be deleted, posted on the Trump thread praising Bwana and Screwdriver and then he was gone.

That wasn't my recollection of his post. He was less than effusive in his praise for Bwana, as I recall.

But yes. Potter is no longer a forum member, and all his posts have been deleted.

That's a loss to this place IMO, but understandable.

I'm a poncey wine drinker, so have no great interest in beer measures, but a pint does seem a large amount of liquid to consume, especially as the dosage normally includes multiple servings.

Carry on.

When I first met the wife she used to drink halves.

I got fed up of going to the bar so often, so got her on to pints.

Well at least it wasn’t a suicide note. At least not yet anyway. We should start a sweepstake. 8-)

Somehow I doubt that!

Seriously one of the smartest guys on here, damn shame he's gone but this place has become somewhat polarised and the quality of debate has fallen off a cliff.

It is, and it's a disappointment to me as it's my place. I feel sad someone felt the need to leave.

I don't understand why anybody needs to announce their departure. If you want to leave, leave.

Unless you're an attention whore, then you might need to make it a big production. "Look at me, look at me, look at me. Bye!" Pathetic.

I hope we’ve not seen the end of Potter, Harry or Ic. I enjoyed his writing. It may have been a bit Hey, look at me, but so what. At least he got off his arse and gave life a go. Maybe he’s just trying to find time to write a book. I’d buy it.

It was a bit of a specific threat, granted...

Back story: my mate was tuck pointing one if his places. One day, whilst on the scaffolding, Mo walks out onto his balcony and starts a conversation. Happens a few times to the point where my mate gets invited in for lunch (Thai green curry apparently) and they are on first name terns.
The banana knife incident was in good humour. Mo asked how much fucking longer is my mate going to be working there, and if he didn't hurry up and finish he would cut off his cock with said banana knife.
My mate laughed and asked, 'What the fuck is a banana knife?'
'You should be less worried about that, and more worried about having no cock' replies Mo.
'True', says my mate, 'but if you come up here I'll throw you off the fucking scaffolding'.
Apparently he laughed like a drain.
