Boxing.

Post by Yorick »

Surprised no thread so far.

7 of us watched the fight here and all were gobsmacked at the punches that put AJ.
He's not just a lucky puncher, he got a fair few in. The end one would have put a polar bear down.
I'd not really heard of him before, but reckon he's the real deal.

AJ was a bit of a knob for being gobby and pointing to the chair between rounds. And a bit arrogant in after fight interview.

Their careers are definitely going in opposite directions.

Brain damage.

AJ was never the same after the wee fat guy floored him, the bubble was well and truly burst, his best result was beating the lesser of the Klitschkos who was well past it and still had AJ on rubber legs for a while.

He's had nine fights since Ruiz KO'd him and lost three of them, twice to a blown up cruiserweight and now DuBois who sparked him. I think the AJ show is coming to an end and now the nice guy mask is slipping, people won't really care about him.

He should take the payday for Fury (which Fury wins comfortably) and the pair of them piss off into retirement.

Not surprised he lost. He was poncing about trying to land a big punch with his guard lower than his boot laces! You won’t get away with no guard at this level and especially at this weight.

Too late now but he shouldn’t have moved to this training camp. To my mind he’s never been trained to use his size properly and his upper body is too muscle bound and he’s too rigid. He reminds me of Bruno…
