Beeza

Post by KungFooBob »

But you have to say it with an Indian accent.

My old man was always a BSA guy his dream bike was A75 Rocket Three, but he wouldn't have said no to a Goldie, recently I've been looking at stuff like A7SS' and A65's. I was going to go to Eddies in Tadcaster to look at an A7, but spotted one of the local bike shops was now a (New) BSA dealer and thought id stop and take a look.

They're much more premium feeling than I expected, more so than the Enfield twin (imho, sorry Dodgy). The BSA decal on the left hand side engine casing looks a bit cheap, but apparently an enterprising soul on ebay makes a bubble badge that matches the tank badges.

Anyway, I bought one. The green ones are £500 less than the other colours, but I actually preferred it.

So £4,999 + £300 otr and surprisingly a four year warranty!

Pick it up next Saturday.

It's this bike. They'll have to order another green one in now if they plan to keep the ad up :)

Imho they need a street scrambler version, I'd have one in a heartbeat (rather than the three heartbeats it took to decide on the current model).

I've no idea, not heard one run.

Tec do a full system that dumps the cat for £250.

Hitchcocks do a down pipe that ditches the cat and keeps the rest of the pipe, but they're out of stock, so can't see a price.

Watched a video on YouTube of a guy fitting the Hitchcocks pipe, reckoned it sounded much nicer.

The cat has a weird setup where the header does a U-turn under the front of the engine to hide the cat, you don't really notice it as a bit of exhaust trim hides it.

Dumping the cat for a proper single thump is top of the priority list

500 miles I think. It's not included in the purchase price, unlike the good old days, I didn't get a price, but he said it's just an oil change so pretty cheap.

I guess it will be getting dealer servicing if I want to keep my four year warranty.

I think the first upgrade is going to be the Tec tail tidy.

Yep, reckon I'd go with that. It'll be a great bimble machine for sure.

I had to pay first service aswel, £160, oil, filter and tappets, thats every year. Worth every penny. 🙂

Exciting stuff!

Got the new reg through so added it to my multi bike policy... For the three months left on the policy it's cost me £15.56 including the admin fee.

I think I must have watched every influencers review on YT (and there's a lot of them), they're all very positive.

I'm very excited now!

Running it in is going to be a bit of a chore, at the rev limit they recommend for the first 500 miles the max speed is 55mph.

Then 60mph until 1200 miles!

Can't see that happening

Lots of owners get given some tat at the first service/health check.

Key rings, neck tubes, etc...
