My mate is a kerbside mechanic who does this almost daily. Just up the same street is a guy who was under a Landrover doing the same thing and the jack went. He how lives in a wheelchair. Remember kids, always use an Axle stand.

Or in my case blocks of railway sleepers
Three pieces of scaffold plank under the sump. And don't trust axle stands on tarmac, always put a plywood or similar pad under them.

Supposed to be working from home today but have only just started! Had to meet carers at step dads to discuss ongoing care and finances etc. Turns out whilst he has a blue badge he doesn't get attendance allowance! :wtf: Carers will help me fill out the weighty tome that is the form, but need info from Doctors which they wont release to me without filling out a form. So I had to go to his doctors get a gdpr form, take it back to step dads and fill it out, then back to doctors to hand it in. Now I have to work until a bit later than normal, then back to his to see if he knows his log in for the NHS or doctors app so I can access his records to fill out said form on monday.

Trying to remember words for tear (as in no tears or lumps in the side wall) and reflectors. FFS, why is French so HARD!!!!

One of my fellow students (he's about 12!!) has had great fun working with me on practicing the 'themes' that we have to remember - but mostly cos he's been able to tell everyone that he's helped me practice the words orifice and tears! Apparently a french comedian did a sketch about tears that's a bit rude (need to find it as Gaëtan speaks a bit quick and I didn't really understand the whole joke!!

At least I have someone in the group that I can laugh with!!

We got the plan for next week (mock exams week) and the actual exam week that follows. I'm absolutely terrified!!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:
