Are the small ones actually called Gixxers over here too? I don't keep up with these things.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
My Dad bought one of those in Yellow back in the 80s sometime. My cousin had a go and he'd never ridden a bike before. It's on video somewhere with my dad saying 'little bit of throttle and slowly let the clutch out'. He promptly did the classic wide open throttle and dump the clutch which wheelied him off the back. That penultimate one is quite interesting, as the UK stopped getting them sometime in the 80's?

The TF125 is a TS125 with a different seat and a rack, the TS185 was a lovely bike, probably last sold in the UK in 1982, really good, easy to look after trail bike, possibly better than the DT175.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
I've done some googling, it looks like Suzuki were making the TS185ER for quite a few markets (mainly in Africa) until 2015.
I imagine the Kenyan ones are just old stock.
I'd quite like one.

Despite the lack of side panels I absolutely love this. Always thought if I ever had a restomod i'd favour the SOHC CB750, but the 6 pot is so mad it'd be this.

Some interesting touches. I'm loving that complex mudguard bracketry which complements the graphical theme running through the build.
Does sound nice too!

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Forgot to post these from Kop Hill Saturday.
Absolutely love this. My Dad and Brother shared one of these when I was about 14-15, got fantastic memories of being taken out on it or getting picked up from Air Cadets. The noise, smell and front end flapping like a mad thing on the power before bollock crushing breaking and hooning round the bends. Mental bike. Their's was green and black though.
Forgot how small they are! Can believe the 130kg dry weight, it's tiny. Fucking mental though.
I know not great as standard, but it's an OWO1
Prefer the original wheels but wouldn't kick it out the garage

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
My brother's never had any issues in the couple of years they owned it. Then a mate owned it for a while after until some c*nt stole it from a car park in Harrow It was definitely a young persons bike though. Unless it was flat out it got very grumpy

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Shocked at how old that looks now. I think its the huge seat that dates it so much?

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
I struggle to believe how heavy bike's have got over the last couple of decades
I'd rather bikes had less power with less weight just like that KR1S

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
It's got the newer 996/8 wheels painted in a gold that doesn't match the frame. Looks wrong.
