Cheesy will be a long in a minute to tell you how the engine is an ancient italian unit likely to implode the moment you start it.

I quite like CCM bikes, but not a fan of those two.

Do they not do the Spitfire any more?

If that makes 55hp anywhere other than the tech specs I'll be very surprised!
And it won't do it for long!

Streetmoto looks like a giggle, well they both do but i prefer the looks of that one. Anyone that has ever owned a supermoto knows what fun 50ish bhp can be in a light chassis.

It'll last 6000 miles, maybe more if you follow the service schedule ( new piston and rings, con rod and cam chain)

It'd cost you 4k to turn the XT into a 70bhp hand grenade

One bad experience can put you off a brand for ever! I tried a big midlands dealer's demo machine and was back at the dealership five minutes later. It vibrated like crazy and the carb was flooding enough to stop the engine if the throttle was closed. From memory I think that was a Suzuki engined model.

I test rode the Rotax model, it broke down within 5 minutes of leaving the dealership, after it was recovered back I put my money and the counter for a Suzuki engined one, and then had another after that was written off, aside from carb icing neither gave me any grief.

I'll give these new ones a look over in November, but they look proper tiny

I had the rotax engined one which had one issue where the stator wires wore through on the engine casing as teh grommet came loose. All done under warranty. Apart from that i did 15k miles in a year through all weathers and it was fantastic. X-Bikes fitted a pumper carb and i dropped in a mid-range cam and it was an absolute hoot to ride!

I sold it cos everyone convinced me that the LC4 KTM was better, so I got one. Biggest mistake of my life. The LC4 still remains the worse POS I've ever owned. Vibrated like a concrete mixer, was slower than the CCM and broke down multiple times and the clutch bearing went a week out of warranty and KTM basically told me to fuck off.

Also had 2 Suzuki engined R30s, one with the 710 conversion That thing felt like it rippled tarmac on pull away it had so much grunt! :D I have to speak as I find and CCMs were good bikes for me!
