Full native is one thing but I’m reasonably sure that the natives don’t arrange child marriages! Not sure about goat dowry’s - it is a farming region so . . . .

You ever stroked an Alpaca?

They're the most ridiculously soft, wooly fuzzy animals. They also don't particularly like being touched.

So you really want to stroke them, but as you slowly move your hand towards them they lean away and give you side eye.

My mate had the most ridiculous goat ever, Big Billy, who for some reason absolutely adored me and the feeling was mutual. If I walked into the shed, he'd bang his head on the gate until I went to his pen, then he'd put his front legs on the gate and put his head on my shoulder. If my mate was putting him out, he would trail my mate across the yard, with me, he'd stay beside me like a dog at heel. When he died, it was like losing a mate.

I loved that goat.

We had goats on the farm, at one point there were kids too (goat kids, we were the human kids!!)

The Billy would quite often walk through the hallway of the house looking for one of us to chat with!! (He did have a strong smell tho!! )

And the kids were awesome fun when they were little - as they got bigger it was less funny/comfortable having them climb all over us!!

They definiohave dog like characteristics!!

Depends. If you capitalise it they'd be (Then argue about exactly which one of them is the actual GOAT ).

As for the rest of the thread, if anyone works out exactly what characteristics make for a long and happy relationship they'll become rich beyond the dreams of avarice.

Personally I think lust gets you through the first few years after that it's shared experience of life's trials and tribulations that make the glue that hold it all together for the rest of the years.

Got to admit that the replies in this thread have made me feel very (VERY) slightly less committment-phobic!! It's ok, Mr Christmas is safe, totally not up for serious but at least I'm slightly more positive that relationships can be good and last a bit
