Unusual XL200
The 16bhp thread got me looking for XL185s to buy. I didn't see any that really appealed. But I did see this XL200.

I haven't seen one like that before. I actually owned two XL200s, but both the more common, more retro looking early 80s ones. Mine were the Paris Dakar replicas. But enough about those, does anyone know about the model for sale? Weight is the key thing I'd be keen to know. I am pretty confident it's a non UK bike but no idea where it is from.
edit - I think it might be south American. Not sure on the weight though.

Re: Unusual XL200
Thank you but that's the UK 1980s model (very similar to the one I had). The one I'm looking for is a 00s model. Maybe the differences are minor but the bikes look quite different.

According to that Ebay link the bike's a 1980 model.I had a look for something later & they made the XR200 until the 00's,but I can't find anything on a later XL200.

Re: Unusual XL200
They do say 1980s but they say that bike is 2003.
I think it's this one, and different to the 1980s bike.

Widely available (though not popular) in Europe.
Don't break the plastics!
Remember the translations for describing classics.
Low mileage- won't start
Very rare- no one bought them and spares are impossible to find

Re: Unusual XL200
Ignore the idiot immediately above - it's definitely South American and spec weight is 122kg.
